Maybe I'm the only one recommending this? I take the top tank o-ring off and the tank comes off real easy after that! Am I the only one doing it this way?

I think most anything that is IMR-ish should work.
I have a marsfire 2200 that is too tall.
I also have a ultra fire 18650 3600 mah that is too tall which is also a flat top.
worst case you would have to leave a gap i think?

This is why I do what EZ told me...stay with what works! LOL So I just order the AW IMR's. I drove him crazy for a while trying to find the "best battery"....but there's so many out there! And you can't trust all of them either!
