Could be the case - I just don't have enough info. I also thought I read somewhere that brass is a very porous metal and can possibly soak in your vapor or juice over time and (again not sure) rot, or corrode the metal - not something you would want to inhale, anyway.

In any case, I just dont use it for the time being, as I don't know enough about the subject and feel better not using it until I do - personal choice.

I will let you know Its kind of stuck in my HR so i'm using it with pluid of all things so we will see .

I vote for a new thread rule!

We don't respond to anyone with under 15 posts unless its a genuine question or request for help.

I know that everybody was new and had a low post count at first, but we all know that this is not what I am referring to. Please remember that marketing is very competitive, and it is far from uncommon for competitors to try an damage another business' reputation by sending in...oh crap what was the word....

As a child of the internet (I swear it raised me), we used to have a word for low post count members who come into a business setting, "rant" and leave. We've been using this word since the '90's...gimme a sec I know I can remember what it was...

Face restocks at frickin' breakneck speeds compared to most mod makers. Keep in mind he makes most of the parts by hand and takes extra steps for aesthetics and functionality that no other mod maker would even dream of doing. Most mod makers work like this: get on some list on some obscure forum, pay them hundreds of dollars upfront for a completely unproven device, maybe you'll see it in a year (if they feel like it), then fat chance ever getting replacement parts or service after that. Face sets deadlines and generally sticks to them like nobody else does. He also guarantees his devices for life (assuming you didn't do something stupid like stack batteries or drop the thing off a bridge). Face is all good in my book (although i wouldn't complain about the occasional last-minute-super-secret-forum-stalker-sale, haha). I know I've said all this before, so rant over, bring on the iHy's!

It's now well past 1:30 Central time and nothing is available yet. Enough is enough. I'm done with the Ihybrid nonsense

I have been following this thread since it's inception. I have purchased two Ihybrids, an early standard and the original V1 Pluid LE. From my perspective, with the advent of endless LE costume changes (apparently to suck in the big buck collectors) it appears everything else has taken a back seat.

Faceless said in this thread last October that "lots' of colored tubes (and colored thread rings) would be up 'soon'. Today the Ihybrid home page still says tubes are "Coming Soon." Since October there have been numerous LE's, all with different colored tubes. That's a lot of frickin' anodizing being done yet no plain colored tubes have appeared since the original red, black and overpriced green ones sold out. Faceless has a strange definition of 'soon.'

As for buying anything from Three-One-Zero:
1. Nothing is ever available there either.
2. CA residents get slapped with sales tax.

I'm not a collector. To me the Ihy is a tool, no more no less. Parts should ALWAYS be available ahead of LE's. So far I have successfully avoided breaking a tank. If I had broken one and then experienced the interminable wait times to get a replacement, I'd have long ago sent my two units back to Faceless and told him where to shove them.

Weeks ago, when the time arrived that I could no longer simply log on the the Ihybrid home page and immediately buy a plain vanilla Ihybrid or the advertised accessories I saw the writing on the wall. No access to simple parts and endless waiting for accessories that we were told three months ago would be available 'soon' is unacceptable as a business practice. I have a life. I cannot spend all my waking hours futilely tapping F5.

I'll cheerfully agree the Ihy does perform well. However, it's not like faceless re-invented the wheel. Watching the direction the Ihybrid has taken recently, makes me love the heck out of my vivi nova based outfits. They work and are rebuildable using the same wire and mesh. AND replacement items are at my door in two days!

Speaking as someone with 4 decades of sales and marketing experience, I'd rather have many long term customers who come back regularly to make purchases than just those few who just have to have LE flavor of the month.

End of rant.

1. There are several available places to try and contact Face...In a civil manner...umm why..because you may have a better chance of getting a response...
2. Ranting in here? Come on whats that going to do?
3. His products are more obtainable than most, meaning available!!
4. If ranters were in here and participated more rather than ranting, they would know when and where..If not could communicate with those that can help answer those questions.
5. Have compassion...Face had a rough holiday season!!
6.....???

Actually, I was just going to ignore the... what was that word again? Actually, it's kind of sad. In the end, they are tubes for batteries, and, honestly, I would probably stay off the stinkies with ego batteries and carto tanks. I happen to have made a hobby of this endeavor, and I like to think I've made a friend of this mod maker, so I do get sensitive to criticisms of him. That said, some folks need to just chill.
