stick the black prong in the fill hole and the red one in the divot in the top screw head and set the meter to ohms.
I put the neg (black) on the ground screw and not the fill hole but I don't think it should read that much different.
Cyclin, I'm not actually sure you can get a valid reading with that type of meter. If you can it's going to be really difficult. Even with the digital ones you need a pretty steady hand and very even pressure or your ohms jump all over. We're talking taking readings to the decimal place here since for us the difference between 1.1ohm and 1.9ohms is significant.
Ya that guy is amazing, I can honestly not figure out how he made some of those noises with his mouth. Maybe distortion? Only thing that'd be cooler if he didn't use a computer to put all his noises together like Rahzel or that techno beat box guy, just did it all at once.

Ive been lurking for the past week or so looking for the news on the Day of the Dead LE. When sale day gets here is it like a feeding frenzy and everything is sold out in 5 minutes or is there usually a bigger window to purchase?
Really wanting this one, i just started a Day of the Dead sleeve on my left arm and i kinda feel required to make this LE my first Ihybrid.
Ive been lurking for the past week or so looking for the news on the Day of the Dead LE. When sale day gets here is it like a feeding frenzy and everything is sold out in 5 minutes or is there usually a bigger window to purchase?

I have a meter very similar to that one. The first thing you need to do is "zero out" the ohm meter. Touch the two leads together. There should be a dial somewhere on the meter. Adjust that dial until the ohm scale reads zero. Use the RX10 scale in all cases, at least for our application. After you have the meter zeroed out you can check the resistance of your coil. Since it's analog, you won't get the jumping around you get with digital meters. That needles can't jump that fast. It doesn't make any difference which lead you put on which post. The resistance is the same either way. When you get a successful reading, it will be over on the right. That is, the zero is on the right. Ohms read right to left on an analog meter. Best I can tell, 1 ohm is at the second big hash mark from the right.
