Middle of a less than pleasant workday .. within 2 minutes reading I'm giggling about g mas reading soft porn and gruss mounting his pvs
made a pleasant break for me

Hey! I didn't say I was mounting my PV's, only that they were crying to be mounted.

Thanks for the update Charger. Some of their tips are gorgeous, but it does raise the question

"Is this tip really worth the health risk?"

While I am glad they finally addressed the question, it did seem their response was angled more towards what everybody else is doing with brass, not particularly what consequences using it in a PV could have... Still, glad they finally responded.

I agree, and something that a lot of people either don't realize or don't care about, is brass unlike say ss not only has the lead that might happen naturally, but they add lead to it to make it easier to shape. And as far as the well people have been using it for hundreds of years, the added lead has only been started within our lifetimes.

 Glad we could take the edge off your day :)

Wish you could've heard that convo with my Oma.. She really old fashioned and has a really thick Dutch accent... It was pretty hilarious and horrible all at the same time.

I can't even imagine my "MiMi" saying those things to me. The thought scares me! She is 82 and has alzheimers. The thought of her still having stirrings has possibly scarred me for life...

Ferritic stainless steel "typically" contains lead as well...

The key here really isn't the generic type of metal (brass, stainless, etc..), its buying from someone who can tell you precisely what metals are being used and what their makeup is should you want to know.. Simply stating stainless doesn't necessarily mean lead free either.

My bigger concern regarding the particular item that spurred this conversation is not that it is made of brass, but that the maker either would not share, or simply did not have information to share regarding the make-up of the metal being usedl.

I would have absolutely no concern using an all brass genesis atty & drip tip, assuming the maker can share appropriate details, and I believe that specific type of metal is safe to use. There are several grades of brass I'd have absolutely no concerns with, personally.

Hi Hybreeds! I have been hearing some buzz about ceramic wicks lately and was wondering if any have switched to this yet? I wanted to order a couple for my first Ihybrid (mayan) coming soon. I was thinking the 1/8th version? will this fit the wick hole good? The only othre option I see is 3/32

Seems cool but I don't like all the warnings of how fragile they are made out to be.

Wow I didn't even know that! He's totally right check out the spec comparison

AW IMR 18350

AW IMR 18650

Looks like the 350 Max Discharge is 4 amps less.

Too bad I can't use my lipo RC Car batteries. I have some 2 cell packs rated at 60C with a burst rate of 100C. 5000MAh The higher MAH rating has a lil effect on the power too. I have shorty packs with the same discharge rate but only 3800MAH. I am assuming the batteries will get closer and closer to these.

We use LIFE and LIPO for most our set ups now. I see lots of guys vaping at the track so Im sure i'm not the only one thinking how to make sure we have a powerful enough battery to handle low ohms

I've read good and bad about them. I myself have not tried one, but some on here have, and I bet they will chime in later. I do know that 1/8 should fit. That's the size drill bit I use to roll my coils.

Rock on man! Ya those would work if you made your own mod :) I have a couple 2200mah LiPo packs I wired parallel and into a DNA chip. It gave me a nice big C rating with 4400mah battery life. Unfortunately I scrapped the projexct some time ago though I kept all the parts

sorry I was just reading up on the reference chart and thought I would add a comment. about the batteries. I love my mkne 26650 battery that came with my stinger.

Ordering some of these soon, will they recharge in the Xtar and trustfire chargers I have or do I need to get a bigger charger?

Same here! Thanks for that link guys.

Gosh, Im really on the fence about that Poldiac as well. I keep almost committing, and then I back out. So, the best atty for this, for looks would be the DID I assume? Is it 22.6 as well?

They are coming out with a 4 piece kit that will allow someone up upgrade their DID, mini DID or Gemini to an atty that fits at same size as the Poldiac. I believe they are also going to come out with an atty with no knurling (at least that's what I was told) that will also be designed to mate perfectly with the Poldiac. The kit is suppose to be a month away and once the atty is converted and mounted on the Poldiac the term for that combination is going to be Poldid......when they release the knurless atty to mate with the Poldiac the two together are suppose to be called the Hydid.

I think certain models of the xstar will charge them but I have a separate charger just for the 26650. I know there are some choices on amazon that work well.

Thanks for this info Crypto. The Poldiac might be back on for me! I have to get permission from "boobs" over there tonight!

Scubagenmini v3. It's a genesis atty, designed by Scubabatdan, and Rusalka is running the co-op for it. HUGE machinist problems. Thread opened way before this one. No one has gotten a device yet. Money has been collected. Machinist has gotten partial payment, and is extremely uncommunicative. Tough situation.

The machinist needs to be paid a visit. You don't take the cash and then hide.
