Yea I don't work for Roku or anything lol but for the money it's pretty incredible.

It's also the size of a coaster. Does amazing video playback and it's about the easiest thing in the world to setup.

You need the Roku 2 XS as it has a USB port so I guess it's 99.99, 79.99 model won't cut it..doesn't have USB.

I looked at roku and it doesnt support a lot of video formats, wdtv supports a ton! I wonder how good it is for quality, I'm shopping ebay lol

Its okay for what it does. I really can't complain at its price point.

Edit: It does FLAC + OGG which was what I was looking for.

Same price as the WDTV.

Think its just preference at this point.

Edit: If you got a decent laptop, that'll be the quickest/cheapest way to setup.

Yea I honestly can't remember why we chose the Roku over WDTV. Wife made the call on that one.

She's as much(more) of a techie then I am. She was a programmer at one point in her career until she decided she wanted to work in video games. Now she's responsible for 3 of the 10 highest ever rated XBOX 360 games.

Game she works on now has something like 12 million unique players a day, that one is a PC game.

Think Roku was cheaper in the beginning. Maybe that had something to do with it. I remember them giving having pretty nice promotions.

Who knows. Think Roku is better for streaming and net services, the WDTV is more if you already have your own collection.

I don't think price was a consideration. I can't remember the specifics but it might have been the interface. We mainly got the Roku's for Amazon, Netflix and Hulu+ as a test to see if we could can cable.

Between them and the mac mini that handles everything else automatically the cable is long gone.

I think I was paying like 200 dollars a month for cable and there was still nothing on lol.

speaking of price, this is on my watch list lol

Hahaha it works great if you're just going to shove movies that are in the supported formats and play them at 1080.

Computer related tech just moves so fast, I can't justify paying a premium for it. In a year or two they might have a newer better version.

And wow at the book. Wish I had more disposable income not even a book collector but I like it.

Probably the interface. The WDTV is pretty ugh for a GUI. Clunky is the best way I can say it.

I still have a landline that I should get rid of that gets no usage. Not even sure why we have it. We don't have an answering machine so we don't even know if people call us.

Buy the book ferret!

Then we can contact all of the people that wanted it and arrange a live skype demonstration where you slowly burn the book page by page and they cry.

Ok, I don't know if this is just in my head but it seems to me that some of my juices start to taste a little funky about half way through a tank. Does any body else notice this with some juice or is this just my mind playing tricks on me?

If its weaker flavor, it might be condensation. Just pop the top off to clean it every once in awhile. If you get too much build up it really weakens/funks the flavor.

Is the juice darkening at all?

If it is, might be a short that's leading to the funk.

Is the juice changing color drastically?

If not it's probably in your head....even if it is changing color drastically the flavor won't be affected much, if it all...so it could also be in your head.

Edit: Or what ferret said :D

Only after the missus chases me with a cleaver.

If I hit the lotto, I'm game. We need to headstart the economy somehow.

Oh, your excuse didn't work! She says I'm being greedy for wanting more Gen mods. I was trying to tell her they're all different!
