For all the people having trouble with wicks and coils, here's a video that rwechsler made for DID which is a device without an insulator. These 2 videos are the most thorough that you can find and addresses some of the common issues. Hopefully I am not offending faceless or any others by posting a video of another device here. If that's the case, please let me know and I will delete the post.

Here's video1 for the wick.

Hope this helps.

Zen suggested a small washer under the positive screw might work to create the circular air flow over the wick. I'll try it if I can find one the right size. It might make getting the wick positioned a little tricky though.

I thought I had the perfect size, an extra that I had left over when my Orion switch had to be replaced and Pailpoe sent all new switch stuff, but the center hole is to small. The washers for the Zen are to big and touch the wick....oh well....I will let keegan find the correct screw and let us know where we can get them. :D

For the spring its from TSC.

Its the assorted box kit #1.

Sigh, my local Home Depot didn't have any spring kits, seems they want to sell me 1 spring at a time.

Naw....I am magnetized. keegan was talking about finding a screw for the positive post that had a mushroom head, basically a button head screw and Fisty said Mike mentioned putting a small washer under the screw to give it a mushroom effect and help with the vortex circulation of vapor in the top cap.

Ah, gotcha.

Has anybody with a Zen tried the Zen screw?

Wish, I knew what you guys were talking about. Haven't received mine yet.

This stuff is cheap and works great

Hiya doc, how did you polish it? By hand? Or do you have a buffing/polishing wheel tool. I want mine to be polished like yours!
