Being the crazy guy I am (and having two of the original tanks) thought I'll try to flame polish half of one to see if its possible at home.

I do not recommend this.

Was able to run the torch through half a tank and only difference I can see is juice seems to flow better on the part I ghetto flame polished. Need to figure out a way to evenly heat the glass, its hard to work with a short glass tube.

Edit: Will try to get pics up later. Basically when installed and flushed with water. Half of the tube seems to collect water droplets on the side of the tube and the other side lets the water flow off.

Just popping in to say I checked the mail today and found a BIG surprise! I quickly unpacked everything. (exceptional packing on Faceless' part) test fit everything (fits wonderfully) popped in an insulator to the wick hole, tossed in a zen wick, wrapped a crap coil, battery, dry burn, fill-up......10 minutes later I'm all grin and vapor!! Thanks Faceless....I now have a mini sized hybrid and couldn't be happier....... Well, at least till my pluid gets here and I get to test the hype in my new iHy.

Clear anodizing you mean, as an added layer of protection on the finish? +1 on this...

You think it will look ok with the smoke finish it leaves?

I am gonna have to wait to get the new tank till payday a week from Friday. Vaping budget is at zero till then. Gonna run out of my favorite juice before then too but so is life. Still lovin my iHy.

You dont have to pay for the tank, only shipping, I think its like $2-3

Was I supposed to pay for the color kit now? My mind is slightly fuzzy.

I'm not going to request payment until I have pics, too make sure it meets expectations :) Pics will be up no later than friday, hopefully

Glad you got it!! You got the updated spring also.

Just checking in....

I personally like the color/finish on the top cap the best. Maybe because it stands out from the body, and matches the "space" between the tubes. Gives it a two tone look of sorts.
I can't wait to see how it looks with the colors.

Is there a way I can get an updated spring?
And should we be cleaning the switch, much like the Zen switches need cleaning now and then with alcohol?

I think the cleaning of any contact that touches a battery is just a necessity.

I have two ProVari's that started acting up, figured I had some bad AW IMR's. Nope, dirty contacts..who knew lol? Even though it's all over the Provape site that they need to be cleaned.

Had a GGTS that was being stubborn with a kick. Cleaned all contacts and put Noalax in threads...fixed everything. I also swab all my batteries every few weeks. Really makes a difference.

I just broke the switch down and cleaned it up. LOL

On a side note..... besides the Zen magnets, which I don't know that I have spares of, is there something else I can do with my switch?

On cleaning it, I noticed it's denting my batteries.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but "clear" anodizing on brushed aluminum will end up with almost a gunmetal look to it.
If that's correct, I "personally" think would look much better than OK... I'd do the whole PV including switch, etc this way.. Its also not something I've come across in any other device yet which is always a plus..

Mine is hopefully out for delivery but the way the PO updates around here I'll have it in my hands for 5 hours before they even update the site to say "Out for Delivery". Basically I have no idea about the battery denting because mine isn't here but it seems odd. I have a few bottom firing mods and I've never noticed anything like that.

The spring or magnet tension keeps the switch from engaging so I don't know how changing anything out would help with the denting. If it's being dented by the iHybrid then it's happening when you fire it which would have to do with how much pressure you apply to the switch.

It would take a lot of force to dent the AW's(if that's what you're using). I screw my GG's down really tight to get very good contact and even with a bare bottom post I've never dented a battery.

Well, I'll check the one in the charger.
I have this habit of having two batteries per unit and try to only use those two on the given device.

I'm weird that way.

Now, I don't think I'm pressing that hard.
It is a little hard to press, but I'm thinking that's the nature of the button.
Which is why I was asking if there is a way to make pressing easier.... in case I AM pressing to hard.

On the other hand, I never noticed until I was cleaning the button, and the hubby DID snag it off my desk.
Showed him numerous times how to use a bottom button device, but he will still use two hands.
(notice how I just blamed him for denting my battery?)

Edited to add:
Checked the other battery, it's fine.
The dent is only on the one that is being used.... last night and this morning, when the hubby was vaping with it.
(see how I blamed him again? LOL)

Nice job, blame the husband...it's what my wife does :D

So I'm not sure if you're familiar with what the bottom of a GGTS looks like but there is basically a bottom post with a spring. In some configurations I pull the spring out and just have the battery on a fairly narrow brass post. The way the GGTS telescopes you end up screwing everything together fairly snugly. The reason I mention this is because the amount of force applied to the bottom of the battery through a fairly narrow tube is so much greater then you could possibly apply with a pinky switch.

I just can't possibly imagine how you could apply enough force with a pinky distributed over a fairly large screw head to dent the battery. I would think dropped from a great heigh directly onto the switch it might happen but then the dented battery would be the least of your worries.

I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm just really perplexed.

I'm familiar with the GG, I traded mine off though.

I haven't seen this before either.
Even with my GG, if I got the parts "too tight" together, it would just smush the spring in that bottom post.
I rarely used that spring though.

He would have told me if he had dropped it, so to the best of my knowledge, it has not been.

I use either my pinky or ring finger. I'm so used to the Zens that I press more on the side rather than straight up, or I use most often, rest on finger make a fist "method".

I've seen him though, he will hold a bottom button device in one hand, and use the other hand to press the button straight up.
Not saying this dented the battery, not saying this is what he actually did last night and this morning.... just the only thing I could think of.....

Like you said, I don't see how my pinky would make enough force to do it.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and do it :) It will delay availabilty though, by one week

Watching the USPS site for an order is like watching a slow motion train wreck. It's 12:44 PM here right now and it just updated from 6:00AM this morning that it arrived at my local post office.

Is it out for delivery or is some post office employee vaping it? WHO KNOWS. I'll see when my dogs go nuts warning me of impending mail delivery.
