Decided to do a hand polish today, and thought I'd share. The long tube is unpolished in the pic so you can see the difference. No fingerprints at all, because the machine marks are still there.:)

Thats good work, I just shipped 50 to you to polish, please hurry, I need them back by friday

I got a bottle of brasso that I use on my cymbals. I might use that.

Seriously dude, if you have better things to do than polish and want great results with little effort, pick up some Masters Formula. I prolly spent 30 - 40 minutes total on the 18650 tube/tank sleeve/button.

Get some here and there is a coupon code to I will post.

Laborday code is LD15, but expires Monday (TODAY).

MASTER FORMULA-METAL GLOSS 12 OZ. (only get this the sealer isn't needed)
CycleOps USA motorycle parts and custom billet and bling

This link should add the correct item to your cart on his site.....no promises though

I just need to stop using it long enough to polish it. I still need to put my green o-rings on it too.

Yep.
Other than fill it and vape it.
And hide it from the hubby.

I don't know that I want mine polished though.
I like the natural nekkid look it already has.

At least until I get some colored tubes.

Yes consistant voltage.

However if you find a coil that's right for you, you can vape it through the battery range without a kick with very little difference.

What you do give up with a kick is battery life. Not only are you stuck with a much smaller battery said battery will also drain off a lot faster. Kick reduces battery life 25-30 percent on average.

Constant wattage Ezkill ;)

Indeed..wattage. Typing quick responses FTL :(

I find I like around 8 watts, it's odd I always end back there no matter how many things I try.

So using the average 3.7 volt discharge rate of a battery and shooting for 8 watts I make coils that are around 1.7ohms.(3.7*3.7/1.7=8.05). Seems to work well enough for me on any of the rebuildable atomizers. Genesis or otherwise. Gives me the option to use a kick if I so desire but also vape them straight off the battery.

Kick is a killer at lower ohms. Not only do you lose battery life due to higher amp draw on low ohm coils but you also lose battery life due to it boosting voltage to get to the set wattage. Double whammy.

I thought my lower battery life was due to a smaller battery (haven't tried a 18650 + kick yet).

Would an average vaper at 8 watts be fine with LR and HR?

Using your coil (the 1.7 ohms), the kick at 8 watts will supply 3.7 (approx) volts. If I go lower resistance, it'll supply lower voltage at 8 watts. I shouldn't have an issue with boosting voltage, probably the high drain.

Sorry for the questions, just got my kick and finding 8 watts to be sweet spot.

Ive read, and re-read your post and I'm not actually sure what you're asking, even taking the stuff after the question in context. Maybe I'm just tired. I'll take a stab at it and further clarify my post and it might answer the question.

Lower ohm coils vaped at the same watts(different volts) have a greater amp draw on the battery and will reduce battery life. These are estimates as I did the math earlier in this thread and I'm putting down numbers from recollection. So a 2ohm coil vaped at 8 watts is something like 3.9 volts and a 3ohm coil vaped at 8 watts is something like 4.8 volts. One would assume that the 3ohm coil would drain the battery faster but it's not the case. The 2ohm coil vaped at the same wattage will kill the battery much faster even though it uses less volts. It's all about the constant amp draw on the battery when it comes to battery life.

In addition because the kick plays with the voltage it inherently reduces battery life as opposed to using just the battery to fire the coil.

So it's kind of a double whammy. Increased amp draw on the battery because of low ohm coils and the kick regulating the voltage you really reduce your battery life.

Gotcha, thought you meant using LR will cause high voltage for some reason with the kick.

Also very tired.

So with a HR wrap I would only have high voltage and the regulation kicking life? I remember you suggesting HR (which is what I'm leaning towards right now) for better battery life (or I could be mistaken with another member).

Think I should be in bed now.
