AW IMR 18650 or 18350 or both. Lots of opinions on chargers. Lots of folks swear by Pila (with good reason). I have Trustfire and Tenergy.

Total aside but, learned the hard way. Tenergy + Panasonic CGR18650 hybrid IMR = disaster. My good friend here had two of those brand new start to cave in on the Tenergy charger that campe from ProVape with his ProVari. I have the other 3 batteries and they are great on the Pila. I really have no idea why his Tenergy caved them. They started to develop dimples near the bottom and then it sucked all the way in. Looked like a crushed tin can. Highly regarded batteries...so I don't know what happend. I'm using the three he didn't cave and finding them much longer lasting then the AW's.

I also want to say that since I found this thread and got on that list, I've know you to be a good and gracious man, with a generosity of spirit. You a real part of what makes a good part of ECF and the vamping community as whole such a great place.

ok so the same type I use in my BB just bigger and yeah if I could afford a pila charger I would, I keep reading about them here

Xstar is a good budget one. They both have intelligent charging.

If interested in more information for chargers, look into the flashlight forums (used to lurk on candlepower a lot).

Is there anyway to shortin the center post on the positive screw to get
rid of the gap. My 18650 gives me a gap and I don't want to use an o ring.

This battery deal..I'm not preaching but don't use anything other then a IMR on a Genesis.

Shorted coils which are part and parcel of a Genesis device can ask for over 10 amps of battery draw from your battery. A lesser battery can do very bad things in one of these not uncommon situations. IMR's are perfectly capable of handling up to 20 amps of draw depending on the size. Some regular 18650's max out at 2 amps. User beware.

Thanks!! Now here is my story:

I was just walking in the mall being dragged around by my wife, I hate shopping, unless its at best buy. I saw a guy smoking an ecig in the middle of the mall, I walked up and looked at them and he explained it all to me, except how bad his product was. I bought me, my mom, dad, and wife one at $150 each lol. They were knock off 510s. I liked it but the battery life was awful, so I took it apart and made the top part fit a flashlight and carried that around lol. I did research and found ECF, signed up, and found all the other goodies. Been vaping since the end of 2009. I smoked from age 15-33. Now I'm trying to invent beer that doesnt give you a hangover or make you pee.

LOL

I still share my story, as it's similar to yours.

I've been smoking since I was 10. :)ohmy:)
I did quit when pregnant with the middle daughter (my oldest), as I was too nauseous for much of anything, started back when she was "weaned".
Cut down to like 3 a day with the youngest daughter (my youngest)..... doc told me anything around 10 and under was acceptable as the stress from quitting could actually be worse for us both.
(still feel bad about that though) And started back when she was "weaned" also.

Tried all kinds of ways to quit over the years, but nothing worked.
The middle daughter had the opportunity to go to the better high/tech school you had to apply for, and we made a deal.
If she was accepted and actually went, I would quit.

We were in the mall, the cigalike type was being sold. Paid well over 350.00 for 3 batteries and some cartos.
They actually didn't do that bad for me, though the battery life sucked.
Moved up to an eGo within a few weeks.
Then a Go-Go.
Then various others, ProVaris, Galileo, The Cube, Reo, all kinds of stuff until I stumbled on Zen's thread actually.
From there, Zens, Orion, and finally my iHybrid.

I'm in love with my "all-in-ones".
Although I still purchase separate genny type attys, I mostly reach for my hybrids.
Finally got the hubby to start vaping.
I was a year off analogs June 4th of this year, and although he is still struggling a little, I never looked back.

Thanks for the uber cool PV faceless!
And the kids are happier and say we smell better. LOL

Yup! What he said! If you go to the 310vapers site, you will see a disclaimer. If you buy a Zenesis APV it will come in a sealed envelope that says something like, "By breaking this seal, I agree to only use AW IMR Batteries on this device."

Look what showed up today.

I swear you make everything Pluid shaded in your pics!

Is it the Pluid in the corner radiating?

And that looks awesome! Looks at my plain setup, must spice up my setup as soon as my vape budget replenishes.

Ugh, wish Aroma would sell bigger bottles. Buying 10 ml's of WTA is killing me.

MR, if you ever go into WTA I'll buy tubs from you.

I think we need some kind of adjustment. I guess I'm gonna have to get some with out nipples. I'm going to get some 18350s should I get flattops or nipples ?

Do you have the red AW IMR's? All of mine fit just right (aside the 1 battery that I know is longer) and they have nipples.

Wait...no. It's the regular AW IMR's with nipple that fit perfectly fine. Just like the ones from the ProVape site which is where I got all mine. Flat tops might be an issue...not sure.

This!

I believe AW IMR's are the only ones that are supposed to be used in this APV (ugh, the urge to say mod is still strong).
