The 18650 I have is from provape. 2000mah about 9 monts old

buy a new one.

Already posted but the older 18650 2000 mah are a few mm's longer. They standardized all the 18650 sizes sometime last year, so you probably have old stock.

I have one that sticks out too long too from a year ago. I'm actually denting this battery on the iHy so I might drawer it just to be safe.

All the ones from the last 3 months fit perfectly.

Since everyone is talking about batteries. The 18650 AW IMR’s I got from Provape almost 2 months ago fit OK but rattle around in the tube a bit. I put a magnet spacer on the top to fix the rattle but now have the small gap at the switch. I tried putting it at the bottom but it fired when screwed in. The 18350’s I have fit perfect without any rattle.

Gratz Nancy!! I was hoping you would win. =) I hope there is someone near you with a rebuildable that can show you the ropes, they can be fickle to get started if you've never used one before.

No, I honestly don't even know of another vaper in the town I live in, so hopefully you all won't mind a ton of questions as I get this down.

Hummmm the rattle is odd.

I have no gap, no spacer and it threads in just right. Both 18350 and 18650 mode. I do have a gap on the 18490+kick, but I don't use that mode...was just for test purposes.

Yeah it is, I’ve got three of those 18650’s from Provape and they all are just a tad short. They still fire perfect just not as tight as they should be. It really doesn’t matter though because like you I love the 18350 mode. Only thing is when it’s in short mode and in my pocket it’s harder to keep it upright.

YouTube is aa great study source. Watch any and all vids, many will have different tricks, all will have commonalities. Just do some searching for wick oxidation or stainless steel mesh oxidation, etc
