Usps sucks. They have had this message up for at least a week now when you try tracking anything: Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office.

I agree they suck, my batteries are finally showing the left KC, which means now they are sitting on a truck at my post office, they still show today as as the eta, but well history tells me I won't see them til tomorrow.

I had a parcel sit at customs for like 10 days... Today I shall have them!!! Going to be a good day for vapemail Bliss and spheroid

Probably the first day I am going to put the hybrid down since I got it lol

Sorry to hear that Nancy.

I'm actually quite curious on what your impressions of a nice genesis device will be versus what you're using now.

At this point the batteries are the only thing I am waiting on. I can tell you this already tho, I was surprised with the size, I honestly expected it to be bigger. As I have seen pictures of the SB and BB next to each other, and the BB is quite a bit shorter than the SB, but the BB with the vivi nova is only about a half inch shorter than the Hybrid.

Forgot to say that is with the 18650 tube, if I put the 18350 tube on it the Hybrid is shorter, which is very nice as sometimes you need something that isn't as big.

me too, I just liked the idea of 3 color madness lol. I'll just make the 18490 kick sleeve for the 18350 to do away with the gap, that way its optional. You can buy it and have 3 colors or just use an oring to fill the gap and not buy it :)

The kick sleeve would work with the 18650 tube I have already as well right? I needs my 18650 kick tube!!!! My poor iHy is home right now cuz both of 18490s are dead. Sigh.

I think my fascination with 18490 batteries has kind of ended lol. They were like my go to battery for a while and now I've found an 18650 high drain that lasts so much longer then the AW 18650 that I use it exclusively. Also keep a stock of AW 18350's around for short modes.

Yea yea I know the AW IMR's are the standard and recommended battery. I know quite a bit about batteries, discharge rates and battery chemistry. Just found a different battery with comparable stats that lasts a lot longer.

I noticed I get way better battery life from a CGR18650CH than my AW IMR 18650's in any of my devices using 18650 sizes. What kind of batts are you using?

Those same CGR18650's.

Here is my problem with the AW battery: They completely tank under load. The lower resistance the coil the less voltage they pump. An AW IMR 18650 on a 1.5ohm coil with 4.01 volts left in it is dropping to like 3.75volts. A CGR 18650 with 4 volts is showing like 3.93volts.

AW's fit better as the CGR's are a hair longer but meh.....40-60% more battery life.

The only issue in fairness is the CGR's have a max amp draw of 10 amps versus 20 amps for the AW 18650. But then again an AW18350 only has 6.5 amps of max draw. Amp draw is battery capacity in amps(2000 mah = 2 amps) multiplied by battery C rating which for the AW's is 10C.

So they have less amp draw then the AW 18650's but about the same as the 18490's and more then the 18350's. For that reason I feel they are fine to use. They also in the case of a catastrophic short off gas much like the AW's. They don't explode like other chemistry batteries.

Not sure if this has come up. Got a Kick, and some AW 18490's today in the mail. Popped them in using the long tube, and there's a substantial gap. Guess my tube is a bit short LOL. Anyway...Anyone else come across this?

Your tube is fine. It will seat an AW IMR 18650 perfectly and that's what it's sized for.

A kick + 18490 is actually longer then an 18650 as the kick is not exactly 15mm.

There is a "fix" but it's not reversible so unless you are only going to use that combination I wouldn't do it. SOME people have filed down the white delrin on the bottom of the switch so they get a perfect fit with the kick and 18490. Problem is 18650's wont fit well anymore so you would likely have to buy a new switch.

That white piece is press fit and I'm not sure you could install a new one if you decide you want to go back to an 18650.

I used to be a big kick user but if you find the right coil on a Genesis the kick is almost irrelevant. I've got a coil setup I vape all through the battery range without much difference making my collection of kicks kind of useless. They just reduce battery time greatly and aren't adding anything to my vape.

So where do you get them?

I believe RTD Vapor and Super T has the Panasonic batteroes they're talking about.

Edit: Ezkill can you link me to the Panasonic explosions? I was under the impression these batts were hybrids, Li-Mn-Li-Ion and could explode like the regular Li-Ion (less likely but still could).

Ezkill are you running a kick?

I remember playing around with the Panasonics awhile ago and found out they're only better on VV mods.

With unregulated the AW IMR holds a better nominal charge, unless you only change your batts when they're dead. I usually change mine when they drop off 3.6v.

Here's a link with somebody who had the time to make charts.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sonic-imr-18650-2250mah-cgr18650ch-stock.html

It does hold a longer charge but for me the last 300-400 mah is useless. I don't want to vape such a weak voltage (for unregulated).

Think there's a thread where they found the 1600 mah 18650 to actually have a better nominal charge than the 2000mah 18650.

For regulated the Panny's win.

Page 6 under structure and safety. They have obtained UL1642 approval. Also, several videos on youtube.

AW IMR's are a fine battery but Andy Wong doesn't make his own cells and sources them from different places.

Panasonics are made in Japan, not China, by Panasonic and are their own proprietary technology. They are a fine cell with an extensive track record for performance and reliability.
