Nice! I would made that with polygon modeling, 3 cubes and 3 lines to start. =)
No way! I love my NURBS! Perfect surfaces every time without pushing and pulling vertices here and there... Most 3d artist hate NURBS, but it just takes a different thought process. Wonderful stuff!

how many need or want to vape at 20watts....lol
Just plug straight into the wall at that point :D

The problem is that it's easiest to find a short and fix it, especially on a coil, if you can see it glowing. If the device won't fire you can't find it to fix it.

I do the hot coil adjust on the Provari, even if you get an E1 short error, it will reset in a few seconds. Patience Fisty, patience LOL

Agreed.
I learned a LOT about genesis wick / coils with a ProVari and a Line V2...

Same here, and I still do my initial coil adjustment and testing and first few hits on the Provari. I'm still human, and still screw up every now and then. And to me at least, it's better than hard shorting a mechanical and collapsing a spring, or frying a battery, just in case.

The way my favored modeling program works is similar in that I make a base model of limited polygons and I use its smoothing on it while I'm working, usually 2 levels worth so finished object is 16 times as many polys when I finalize it. Basically a low poly cage.

I spoke to a well respected pulmonologist in Central georgia last night at work. He had given me a RX for Chantix a few years ago, and I told him I had been off analogs since may 2011 with the aid of ecigs, and he stated that he refers all his hard cases who will not quit smoking to these devices. He was very supportive of ecigs and stated it was the best smoking cessation device he has EVER seen. This guy is a Critical Care specialist, and has been doing it for a long time. He stated it was perfectly safe in his opinion. I had already felt this to be true, and evidence that I had seen to this point internally and externally pointed to this, but it was great to hear ir from someone whom I have so much respect for.

Man, that's great to hear. Now if we could only get the rest of the scientific/medical community to stop taking bribes from big tobacco, then maybe they'd be able to label them as what they actually are... Smoking Cessation Devices.

My medical insurance will pay for chantix, patches, and gum... Pretty much all the stuff that doesn't work, but not the method that is working miraculously for thousands of people.

Those methods do work for those interested in quitting. I actually quit for a few months on Chantix, but I was not ready obviously. I am grateful for this alternative, it is like having your cake and eating it too.

I don't think insurance will ever cover it... Primarily because, with a few exceptions, its ongoing unlike true cessation methods.
i.e. I for one don't intend to give up vaping..

Big tobacco is only part of it. The other huge chunk of the pie lobbying against vaping, is big pharmaceutical. Do you think they want you NOT buying Chantix, patches, gums, lozenges, etc, etc..?

Vaping can be a "true" cessation method. People that plan on quitting altogether though step down the nic in there juice - just as patches step down the transdermal nic.

I get between 3 and 4ml per charge though I just know when I'm around 3.6 and that's when I swap out...use to always meter now just know....the iHy is sweet.....need to unpack my 18350 tube and give it a try sometime maybe after reading how many use it.

I like the 18350 mode, but it doesn't seem to have the same punch as the 18650.

I'm still waiting on 18500 tubes. Till then I'm stuck using a kick and 18650 tube. I'm anxious to go kick free.

Not sure if he is still doing those where the 14500 will take the 18500.

I tell ya what....I can't go back to cartos, wick/yarn OR store bought juice.....this iHy has ruined it all for me....LOL

I agree 100%

Off topic, but I thought I would show you guys what I did on the OTHER screen while perusing the forum here. I modeled it using NURBS (CAD), and converted to polys and rendered with the cycles render engine in Blender - the classic Thonet No. 14 chair.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I haven't used NURBS, it is one of the two ways I can do SL sculpts, the other way is with a plugin that is easier. Tho I may very well be learning NURBS soon, as they are not releasing a free version of the plugin for blender 2.5 and up and my partner and I have issue with telling new people they have to get a $30 plugin just to try basics to see if they will even use it. So we are looking at work arounds for any paid plugins for our classes in blender

That's great to hear for sure. I wasn't willing to try Chantix after seeing how it affected others that I knew personally, some of whom were close friends. No thanks, not for me.

How is your son doing BTW?
