I just cut a strip of mesh to the height I want, start rolling, and when it seems about right, trim it and finish rolling it up...

Rest of the strip lies in wait until another wick is needed.

Clearly, very scientific.

Across all my devices, It'd be a lot to say I roll one wick in a given month, unless of course I pick up a new toy..

So I'm researching rolling wicks for future endeavors and it seems there are two schools of thought, tightly rolled, and straw type wicks. I'd like to keep em as close to 3mm outside diameter as possible as I'd like to fill the entire wick hole. According to the tomcatt pv calculator app, a tightly rolled 3mm wick would be 141mm (5.55") of mesh material. This seems excessive to me, so perhaps a loosely rolled, straw type wick would work better for wicking and flavor... Then there's the dual wick method. I'm looking specifically for advice from anyone who uses a 3mm wick, and can give measurements on lengths of material to use. Any thoughts from the Genesis/iHybrid veterans?

yea bro....i got to check out blaines, emma's and tim's on saturday. I was very impressed...I had already decided to pick one up before then.. thanks to face and emma, I'm also having one designed as we speak :)

I figured that after I put two and two together. Blaine, vape meet, Emma, Tim. You were done before you said hello! It's a great CONSISTANT device.

Good advice there, and I know from the wick you rolled, you're a tight wick guy. I don't plan on rolling many wicks, just figured I'd throw a line out and see if there were some tried and true measurements to write down.

I roll em as fast as I can and still have em fit in the hole.

FYI to some crappy peeps, the cookie flavoring and tangerine play pretty well together...

Hadn't thought about that one. I considered tangerine and cream.

I've been using Imgur, its been pretty solid..

I'm with this guy..... ^^^^^^

And eminently available.

Is size for standard or mini HOH quartz?

Not entirely sure. I was just regurgitating what I've heard here. You'll have to check with the experts for sure what size.

Honestly it's prob the standard not the mini. The tank on my iHy is pretty large! I only have to fill it 3-5 times a day as opposed to 2x an hour with my ChiD.

If I'm measuring, I'm overcomplicating it. Everyone has their own opinions, but I've never measured the mesh for any device I've owned..

I use a 3inch wide piece of mesh and before i start rolling it i fold the edge over a tiny bit probably 1/8", then i roll it pretty tight.. once its rolled i will take the wick and roll it btwn my fingers the opposite way so it loosens it a little bit and it will completely fill the wick hole... you will have a very tiny bit of a straw style with a solid style wick all in one if that makes sense... if done correctly once broken in you should be able to vape at the 4-5oclock position with constant wicking :)

Same here, 3 inches for width. I do huge rolls and just snip a piece of wick whenever I need it.

To DarklyNoon, you really need to experiment. Just know all your options, know how they interact and find something that works for you.

Currently doing 325 wrapped around 500 mesh in roughly 1/3 ratio.

Back to catching up. I find it funny I'm getting brownouts after the hurricane and was fine during.
