Nope. It does depend on brand and size tho. For example my AW IMR 18350's can be either though the flat-ops wiggle a bit, but my Panasonic 18650's only fit the flat-tops correctly. In 18650 it can also fit nipple-tops and do so correctly, but not with the Panasonics we are talking about :) I am not sure which brands it fits the nipples with, as I only have been using the CGR18650CH's in my iHy for a while and forget stuff

Sounds like a switch issue to me as well. But he did say they are the Panasonics, and the 18650 Panasonics with a nipple don't let you screw the switch in completely, though maybe with the new switch.
But anyway before I just go off on a tangent I am almost positive it is a switch issue. My reasoning behind this is that even a battery that is too large (by a nipple lol) for the iHy will make the switch not screw in completely, and does not affect how the switch, give or take a little throw in it. :D

^^ Except when it is too too large in which case it will just constantly fire as outlined by Charger ^^

Try taking it apart and cleaning it, which is very easy to do but removing the switch, and unscrewing the Philips head contact.

There is a sheet of 500 in the classies for 15. dang. supply and demand huh? Like the price of quartz.

Don't understand that... The shipping alone is $10 from them. Maybe he got it as a free sheet?

Edit: I think that's a A4 sheet, the A3 sheets are like 12"x17" iirc

Oh, that sucks, I've got a stockpile of 650 Panasonics, no AWs

I didn't get any from Shek's co-op so yours probably came from a different batch than mine (though they are probably the same)

When you screw in the switch does it go all the way in, fully flush to the tube body?

It looks like Faceless is using AW IMR batts in the video, but notice when he pushes on the delrin piece that the bottom of the switch goes below the 4 points on the new switch... A longer batt might cause issues, some other brands of batts could be longer than The AW IMR.

It goes all the way in, but not smooth, with or w/o a battery.... I've tried cleaning the threads, no luck.

Didn't watch the vid, but that's whats happening on mine, with the battery in, when I sit it down, the switch is the first point of contact.

I think the batts your using are to long... I use AW IMR batts in everything, without issue. I dont have a new switch though... :glare:

I love my mini. I dont use it a lot, only when my iHy is acting up. Once in a while my coil will pop and my provari / zap is ready to go.

Try using some cig paper between the coil & wick. I saw it on a YT video. Cause my coil was popping a lot. I hv 30ga wire and 325 mesh. Now this thing vapes like a CHAMP!

I've been using Shek's batts in my Spider with no problems at all. The button does stick out a little more with them compared to an AW, but they work just fine in the Spider's locking switch. I'm kinda bummed to hear they may have problems with the new style switch I have coming. Keep us posted Uni and thanks for bringing this to my/our attention. I may have to keep the new switch on the 18350 tube for use with the AW and Efest batts, hmmm.

Ill let you know when I get home.. I have a few different sized batts.. I have the longer 2000mAh AW, the shorter 1600, and some panny 2200mAh hybrid flats..

I only have 2 kinds of batts (AW's and MNKE's) and they both work flawlessly in the HR. I think the MNKE's are a hair longer than the AW's, using the MNKE's the switch is almost flush with the 4 bottom points. But the switch does not touch anything when set down. I don't think I could even slide a piece of paper under it while it's sitting down though... it's that close.

I'll get some pics of it up once Imgur stops hating my photos...
