This is a little wierd but it's a true storry and I think it's funny so I'm going to share it.

Trying to rebuild my high watt setup got frustrated and decided to play around with many voltage meter.

Temple to temple across my head it reads 80 volts.

Nipple to nipple across my heart I get 40

Next reading (the wierd and crazy part) also reads 40.

Brings up two questions.

Do I have more brains then heart and balls combined, or does the simple fact that I would even do this prove that wrong?

Mat You need to check the resistance too. I think that determines your IQ. I used to think you were crazy, but now I can see your NUTS.:p

Vaporhead, first of all your avatar slightly resembles a Vaporized version of Albert Einstein. Gotta use your imagination a little but it is there. Second I swear the pic of your new switch looks crooked, like a cross threading. Try the noalox, or some graphite. It just looks a little bit crooked. Are the threads deeper on the new switch than the old one? If so then you may not have had to thread it in as far with the old switch. There may be a small burr which is causing it to jump track on the 18350 tube.

That's my actual head. I was really worried when i woke up and looked in the mirror to see this, but my doctor says since I was able to schedule an appointment, get in my truck and make it to the doctor's office without incident that he figures I'll be ok.

As for the threading, I've heard the phrase cross-threading, and can kinda imagine what it means, but what is it exactly?

I wish I could answer about the differences of the switch threads but I wasn't all that familiar with the old switch.

I think Nancy said wrap with a towel or a soft objectto get a good grip on the threads without damage, I second that. Just don't get in a hurry.

I tried that here at work, but I will be able to give it more attention at home. I'll get it off; Im not worried about that. I just dont want to screw the atty threads up in the process.

Is there a real difference between using noalox and vaseline? I have both but think that the noalox leaves the threads looking nasty.

I really don't know if the vaseline impedes voltage in the device. I lust have used it due to availability, and always forgetting to pick up noalox when I go to ACE.

Sounds like there's definitely excessive resistance somewhere!

Scientifically, yes! Brain = ~1300 grams, heart = ~300 grams, and testicles average ~30-110 grams.

I'm gonna just drop it and start working with the 650 tube. I'm just so happy to have my switch back I don't even want to think about this right now. I'll wait a lil bit to ask face, unless he talks to me about it first of course. I woulllllld try to fix it, but I don't want to screw up and ruin this brand new switch.

Beautiful stand jsl1ce, do you mind me asking where you got it? I'd love something similar, but have never seen anything with a drawer. I assume this is custom to your needs?

It's a good look for you man. You may want to cut down on the VG, your looking a little bushy. cross threading is when the threads do not line up perfectly and they get pulled into the incorrect groove bringing progress to a screeching halt.
