It is likely that I am making a nuisance of myself for starting yet another topic. If I am over doing it, I hope someone will say so. I'd like to be a sensible member, not a nuisance. The newness of vaping brings a whole range of questions to mind, probably questions that have been broached before to the chagrin of long-time members.
I started smoking at a time when smoking was consider a fairly typical adult behavior, perhaps even cool. The societal shift in attitude towards smoking has been profound. To be a smoker today is to an outsider, an outcast, persona non grata. For years smoking has been a very personal habit done in privacy or at least as private as possible.
I view my attempts to move from smoking to vaping as a positive undertaking. However, it seems to me, that vaping also has image problem as well. I don't think I can articulate what that image is exactly, but I think it is fair to say it is not a positive image. How do you deal with the image thingy? How do you think vaping is perceived in society?
Thus far I have treated vaping in same way as smoking, a very private part of my life.
Any thoughts?
