Hi All,

Would love to know what everyone's using in there prized Ithaka. Would love to know which juices turn dark very quickly compared to which dont. Love to hear what flavors you find are just way better since putting them in the Ithaks. I'm finding the juices that I didn't necessarily love in my penelope are now way better in Ithaka. Whats your pref on PG vs. VG? I know this is a juice thread but I specifically wanted to hear the experiences of Ithaka users and what juice they can't live with out in my ongoing quest to find more favorite vendor juices.

Cheers

I prefer VG, myself, pretty much all of my juices are at least 50% and many are all-VG. I find the GG atomizers handle thick VG juices better all-around than most other gear I own, so they are (and have been since Ody was released about a year and a half ago) my go-to devices for my AVE juices :) My Ithaka has only had a couple of different juices in it so far, most of the time it's Gorilla Juice. Once I can re-stock my other faves and get my second Ithaka I'll have more variety going on ;-)

Thanks. How does your wick hold up with Gorilla juice( how Many tanks before a rebuild). I've been doing 50/50 vg pg. My juices though turn very dark by the end of a tank even if they start out clear.

Been doing mostly berry flavors and some menthol tobaccos.

Will try out some pg flavors this weekend.

The remnants of juice at the end of the tank get a little dark after a couple refills and the coils do gunk up a bit, but not usually from the first tank-full. I've been going 2-4 fills between dry burns, only rebuild when a dry burn and rinse doesn't do the trick, so varies quite a bit on time between rebuilds. My setups have been mostly 1 ohm dual coil on 3mm wick with the wicks running side by side.

I am a creature of habit so I normally stick to very few juices.

Right now I vape on 4 juices

1 Caramel Waffle from tasty vapor. This uses up coils like crazy so I don't use it in my Ithaka.
2 Monster made by me 50/50 almost clear when first made turns slightly amber colored with time. Doesn't really darken in my ithaka or any tank and coils last forever I use this most in my ithaka
3 Watermelon bought from a local shop. Juice is completely clear and doesn't seem to darmen much is at all. I also use this in my ithaka sometimes or my penelope others this is 50/50
4 MonsterMelon a 50/50 mix of 2 and 3. Slightly amber colored but still doesn't darken. Also use this usually in my ithaka or penelope.

I used caramel waffle in my ithaka for the first week but was replacing coils every other day. Now I only use the other 3 and my coil is over 3 weeks old.

Nice. How would you describe your Monster flavor?

My everyday juice has always been Boba's Bounty. I've tried many other juices and nothing really compares, in my opinion. Also, I'm not sure if it's the PG but every other juice I've tried that has PG in it has a perfumey taste (even after steeping) - I have some PG nic base liquid coming that I am going to try by itself and see if I taste the perfumey taste, so we'll see!

Boba's Bounty has been very hard to get, so I have a bunch of DIY supplies on their way... there are a few recipes for Boba's Bounty clones on the forums here that I'm going to try.. and I'm excited to make my own flavors and tweak them how I want!

I do remember trying boba's and liking it. How hard is it on your coil in the Ithaka?
I remember It being a pretty dark juice no?

Yeah it gunks up coils pretty fast, but I don't have much experience with other juices. I've been vaping some juices from Velvet Cloud Vapor (VG and distilled water) and honestly they seem to gunk up my coils way faster than Boba's, though.

All of this doesn't seem to matter, though, because AVE is making it extremely hard for people to get Boba's Bounty... I'm kind of disappointed in them lately.. especially because I was a loyal customer for 2 years, spending a lot of money at their site.

Oh well... I'm pretty excited about making my own juice now.. hopefully I can get something I like as much as Boba's!

I'm digging my coffee flavor way more in Ithaka than in Pene but man it's hard on my coil.

Yeah since Boba's has been out I've been vaping Velvet Cloud Vapor juices. Their stuff turns very dark and seems to gunk up coils very fast. My first juices I bought from them sat for a month or so and they turned VERY dark. I ordered more juice and it has been sitting for a week and is much lighter, and still doesn't taste the same, but pretty good.

I like their Maple Mountain Breakfast - it tastes like syrup and waffles, with some butter. I'm vaping their Nightshift right now. The juice that steeped longer tasted like coffee and was very dark (and gunked up coils very fast) - the one I'm vaping now tastes more like cotton candy - totally different but quite tasty.. seems like it's a little easier on my coils so far, but will probably get worse as it darkens.

I'm still amazed at how much juice changes as time goes on! From very light colored to almost completely opaque brown.. and flavors are 100% different... very interesting.

Nice. How would you describe your Monster flavor?

It is very similar to green monster energy drink. Not quite the same but it kinda has the same sweet tangy kick that the drink has. The nicotine and heat change it a bit though. Normally when I drink monster I like it ice cold. I like it a lot and I make it for dirt cheap. Somethin like 4 bucks an ounce (or 30 ml).

I also just got in watermelon flavoring and mixed up some today it is a bit different then the store bought stuff less jolly rancher more airheads watermelon. It is very good also.

I am a creature of habit I have probably only tried 15 or so different juices in my 2 years of vaping. I vaped Caramel Waffle for over a year straight before I found the monster flavoring.

It's a coffee (cappuccino) blend. I get a nutty, slightly creamy very mild coffee flavor. It's actually fairly complex and the flavor can change depending on device, wick, and age. But always very good. Loads of vapor like all AVE all VG and throat hit is mild for same reasons. Smell is pleasant and sweet as well. Highly recommended.

I agree that those favors are exceptionally dark and are coil, carto killers, but have you tried their tobacco extract blends (Velvet Cloud I mean). I just love them. The white beard and blue beard especially!
