After 45 years of smoking I have finally found an alternative that has given me a new lease of life.
I have not had a cigarette since I started vaping about 4 weeks and have had an interesting journery to finally come at a place that feels right for me.
I started with a 510 kit which was great as it helped me overcome the dreaded weed. I quickly progressed to a Ego Tank and found that a lot better in terms of battery life and flavour.
I still wasn't quite happy with this set up so I purchased a Go Go after reading the Forum.
Well I can tell you this was heaven. Everything about this kit was perfect for me. Great Vape with a really nice flavour to the juice.
I am really happy (for the time being) with the Go Go.
I have also now tried lots of Juicesand my favourite is Butterscotch, Strawberry & Energy Cow.
I was a bit worried about finding a juice I would like and it took quite a few tries to find these.
I have also had to increase my Nic to find the right mg for me.
All in all it is a journey which I am sure has only just begun.
I am truly grateful to all the people on the Forum who have given me great advice & encourgement.
I am from the older generation and have been overwhelmed by the support I have received.
Thank you :vapor:

It is our pleasure to have you here and I'm very happy to see that you have found a set up that you are comfortable and happy with. I don't know about everybody but I'm in my early 30's and I would of thought it would be harder for the older generation to switch over. You are not old! I say you're not old until you can't wipe your own ...., but.... :) 45 years of smoking i would imagine wasn't easy to cross over. Good luck and hope to see you around the boards

That's great! You're well on your way. I burned tabacco for 38 years and it took me a couple months to switch over. Mostly because of bad equipment I think. I tried a smoke two weeks later and man was it bad! Now I'm into variable voltage and carto tanks. The journey has cost me $$ but I'm still money ahead. On a side note I was born in Tokaroa, NZ. Congrats!

Believe it or not but it was quite easy, I was amazed. I personally don't know of anyone else that vapes so it was totally new to me. In Australia it's iheard of. I was just lucky to read an article about it so decided to look into it. Found the Forum and the rest is history.
I work with people with disablilities so I wipe a lot of BUTTS.

Why are Governments so afraid of Vaping?
Yes after smoking for 40+ yrs I am also very grateful to ECF and it's members. Amazing that such a simple device has had such an impact on our lives and even more amazing that Governments are steadfast in their stance to prohibit Ecigs.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.

Some say BP and BT but I've been told it's all about the taxes. In 2008 in the U.S. they collected 16.5 Billion in taxes. I remember when Chiropractors and Acupuncturists were not accepted by the Medical Community. I'm hoping the same will happen with Ecigs. I believe the true problem is that Ecigs are TOO successful. Up here in Canada they are really starting to tighten up and in the U.S. States and Municipalities are beginning to regulate/ outlaw Ecigs. Singapoere, Turkey and some other countries completely illegal and that's very sad for those wanting to quit.

Yes in Canada lately lots of shipments of hardware and Nic juice being stopped. Previously they were allowing hardware through. We also have a few brics and mortar places here and online shops but they are being hounded by HC. I've spoken with a few people in the know and they told me certain things which I'm leery of posting in an open forum. I've stocked up on supplies enough to last me 1 1/2 yrs even though I'm hoping to be finished with vaping next June? Also converted 2 politician's family members and they've told me they are amazed at the power of the Ecig but there is just too much opposition from other politicians and Big Money. Now in the U.S. credit card companies are cutting vendors off from use of their cc. The main problem is there is a lack of Clinical Trials for Ecigs and that's why all vendors listed here at ECF cannot state that Ecigs are smoking cessation devices. TW (Totally Wicked) had some gear confiscated and they took the FDA to court and won. Most thought the battle was won but we now see the FDA, the government and big business are exerting their influence to pressure the Ecig business and users via other methods. Here's a link of the TW case:

Vapoor Eyes, In Australia you can't buy the Nicotine juice on line and they don't sell the Ecigs in shops. Why ban them?

Depressing. I didn't know it was that deep where CC companies won't allow you to buy from certain vendors.
