So Cal
I received the Killer 705 rba today. I have found it difficult to find info regarding this RBA being used on a REO mod and thought I would give some observations in the hopes of helping anyone interested. First off this rba will work on a REO. I put it on my Grand, gave a squonk and started vaping. The Killer draws air from the bottom so no leaking out of side mounted air holes. I found my best results with a very slight squonk while drawing gently on my drip tip. Over squonking will result in gurgling. The draw was neither too airy nor too constrictive, in fact the draw was perfect for me. Vapor production is ridiculous even with the high pg liquid I am currently using. Throat hit is very good while I found taste to be very good to excellent. Of particular note was the nicotine delivery. The nicotine hits extremely hard with this RBA. I currently vape 12mg and will have to drop to a more comfortable level. Thus far I have not encountered any leaks and the drip cup has remained dry. I am using the factory silica and coil setup. I used my provari to measure resistance which indicated 1.9ohm. The machine work is very good with exception of a few minor surface imperfections. Threading however is excellent. All parts fit together perfectly. I tried several 510 drip tips and all fit securely. Constructed of stainless this unit will get hot with heavy vaping, however the drip tips remained only warm.
I ordered this unit somewhat blindly with very little if any info regarding use on REO mods and I must say that I am initially very pleased. I will provide more info in the following days regarding rebuilding and any other information as I continue to use The Killer.
As a side note this unit utilizes both resistance and non resistance wire which may increase difficulty in rebuilding for some.
*Quite obviously I am not a professional reviewer and the above observations are limited to my first hand experience.
Any and all contributions, corrections and critiques are welcome.

What Skip said. Love it. I like a stiff draw so I'll be blocking off one air hole completely and maybe partial block on other. The air holes are huge. I'm sure for it's intended use in carto tank. Note I have part of a toothpick in one hole.

On Mini REO 18490.

Killer 705 post air holes. As seen from my pictures the two air holes on post are big enough to pull an elephant through. Way, way, way too airy for me. I do like my draws on the stiffer side. So I blocked off one hole with a toothpick (the point is way too tiny so I had to get wire snippers out to cut from area of toothpick large enough to wedge in hole.) Still too airy. So I partially blocked off the other hole but it quickly came out. Soooooooooooo......... I got out one of my orthodontic elastic bands and wha-la perfect. I can get plenty of these as I'm wearing braces and will probably have them for a couple more years. But you can get them on Amazon or if you have an Orthodontist near you you might be able to ask nicely and get a pack from the front desk. You could even fib if you wanted and say your kid, partner, sibling, parent, etc. ran out and they won't be going to Orthodontist in another month and too far to drive or something like that.

There is little plastic tool that makes putting them on braces brackets so easy. And I've found lots of other uses for the bands with vaping stuff. The ones I have are latex so I don't know if a non-latex will hold up to heat. I'll look for the little tool on line but in meantime you can get the 1/8 on amazon. I have purchased the larger ones (not much) used for hair, pets, etc, at Walmart but, again, I'm not sure how they will hold up to heat unless they are latex or silicone. I'll bet there are some silicone bands out there.

{edit} found the placers http://www.amazon.com/25-Elastic-Placers-Braces-Orthodontic/dp/B00AJ5U85I/ref=pd_sim_sbs_misc_39

Compare the size of Killer air holes with any pre-made atty or carto you have and you'll see how HUGE these are.

Latex brand I use. Note little pink tool.

Also, I wasn't getting massive amounts of vapor, using either Killer, a little < 2.0 ohms on 3.7v REO. So I put them on VV and raised the voltage and BAM!!! That's what was needed. (Thought at first it was my old batteries but they were delivering okay; they just go down fast... I have some new ones so need to label them, charge, and put into use.)

So, I was not thinking very clearly..... when I build coils for the other RBAs for 3.7v non regulated I usually stay down around 1.2-1.3 ohm range. And, when using prebuilts anything above 1.7, carto or atty, just doesn't do it for me. (Many of us are finding that we go quiet a bit lower ohms coils on our BF RBAs compared to what we used pre-mades.)

BTW.... I found a two year old 120 ml bottle of FSUSA 50/50 Butterscotch Almond in cooler, 30mg, extra double shot of flavor; almost double nic what we are using now. So I've been cutting it with plain, no nic, PG. That gives me about 75PG/25 VG, so I would expect less vapor. But I mostly use 50/50 so I wasn't expecting the reduction to be so much. It was just the voltage as I've been using the same juice for a couple of weeks now with good vapor with RBAs.

Glad to hear it bottom feeds. Looks like a nice tiny RBA. Not a fan of NR wire myself but like you said it's not a deal breaker.

It is tiny. I haven't rebuilt it yet but it looks simple enough. With shorty DT the Killer is not much taller than a standard 510 carto without any DT.

I highly recommend building coil about 0.5 ohms less than what you are used to using on pre-builts. This holds true for many of the BF RBAs.

Killer 705. Only a tiny bit of headroom. Ceramic cup is same size as CE2.

Diregard my inquiry for this pic in the other thread. I found it! It looks like half the chimney could be cut-down for even lower profile! I mean, as long as there's hald a mm of clearance between the coil and the bottom of your DT, you're golden! I'm sure there's some heat to it, so maybe it's at the ideal height. I'll have to make the judgement call when I get mine. I may have a mini-Killer soon tho!

For stealthiness on Mini REO I think cutting down the chimney might be a splendid idea. As I said, I'm not ruling it out, but I'll let you be our "Mikey." (You may not be old enough to know what that refers to. :D)

I'm still working on air draw. A little while ago I took one of those bottom carto post plugs and cut it down to fit in one hole. Yeah, micro work. It and band mostly over second hole is giving better vape for me.

But one issue I'm having with pre-installed coil is that I've had to warm water rinse, pat dry, and dry burn coil three times today. Same for the other one. Not sure why. I can go a couple to three days with Stardust or Mini Vivi Nova coil without having to clean wicks and dry burn coil. After I do a few rebuilds on killer I may get a hint of why.

With prebuilt attys I used to have to clean them, boil, every few days. I get longer time between cleanings on ERA and Hornet but about daily on the A7s.

I just got in two carto tanks, one a Drunker and other a full sized ViVi Nova. (DH uses Mini Novas on VV eGo batteries and will be using the Infinity Pro as he breaks his last VV eGo batteries. (They don't take well to drops and being sat on.) I'll see how the Killer does using in MiAi tank and Phiniac tank. But I didn't get it to use in tanks as I mostly use REOs. I got a Robust Rider for him, too. He doesn't vape high watts so no problem for him but I don't think he's going to like fooling with the settings. Infinity Pro has same chip as VV REOs and voltage adjustment wheel. I have a Buzz Pro that I got while impatiently waiting for VV Woodvils to be release.

Regarding the airflow, I am currently using the "tank adapter" with excellent draw characteristics. I did try vaping without the adapter and as westamyx has mentioned airflow is far too loose. I suppose the aforementioned idea of cutting the top chimney in conjunction with using the adapter may be ideal for those looking for ultra low profile. I have ordered a second Killer for just that purpose.
Although they do not sell The Killer, 405Vaperz has E Baron premade wick/ceramic cups in stock.

Thanks. So using the adaper with Killer as a BF does restrict some of the airflow? Hope so. I'll try it when I get to my supplies.

Great idea cutting some chimney off and using adapter. Will give same tiny height. Brilliant!!

I had the adapter with me!! I took the plug out of hole and band off, put adapter on Killer and AIR FLOW IS PERFECT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW... Once I get the chimney cut down a bit I think I've found my perfect RBA!!! No posts or insulators to break down, no tiny screws and wrenches to deal with (and lose), no wobbly center pins, and easy to obtain ceramic cups. (I have several boxes of CE2 cartos from 2010 modding efforts and nice to know where to get more easily.)

Next thing is to see if my shorty unsealed 510 extenders are shorter than included adapter and how they work with Killer.

Adapter that comes with Killer 705 is special made for it. I put the shorty ver2 unsealed 510 extender on and the center pin gets pushed down way too far when seating the Killer on it all the way down. So no go there for now. Perhaps taking center pin out of shorty extender and taking a bit off top will fix the too long center pin issue. Looks easy enough to do. Shorty extender main body is several mm shorter than Killer proprietary extender.

Yes it does. Initially I was wondering how you were achieving that much airflow then i realized i was vaping with the adapter on while you had it off. Even if I had four lungs I couldn't vape with it off.

I have had the Killer a few days now and thought I would give an update. I am still really enjoying the Killer. The stock wick and coil lasted me three days of extremely heavy vaping(the 100%vg did it in) and necessitated a rebuild. I must admit that I have had zero experience rebuilding silica wicks. I have always concentrated on stainless wicks which I can construct blindfolded. I was also concerned about such a small working space given the size of my hands. My first attempt I battled with my fingers for the first five minutes, after that I found it to be quite easy. Sure there is some technique to it but overall I now find it quite simple. The Killer remains the ideal atty for me. It is low profile, disassembly/reassembly is easy and there is a large group of vapers using it which leads to a diverse knowledge base. For me The Killer earns it's name.
p.s.
as soon as I can competently post photos I will. (Yes, I am aware that I am light years behind the times)
