The last time I smoke analogs?

I am currently an analog smoker. I have recently decided to return to the vaping community. I have tried a V4L VaporKing and it just didn't do enough to completely kick the analog habit.
I've finally done something different this time though. I have been researching for the last week. YouTube, Facebook, and about 50 different vendor websites. Some in foreign languages I translated.
After some consideration I decided to buy a ego-c kit and juice from backwoods brew.

I am going to quit analogs the day the kit and juice arrives at my house. I am in the company of a lot of analog smokers. Here is my test. I can do it!

What you've gone through to do the research sounds a bit like me. I feel for you so I am going to help speed you on your way to recovery. Please click the link below in my signature and read the Vaper's Handbook which will bring you up to date on the latest advancements in the world of vape and answer almost all (if not all) of the questions that you may still have. This market has changed drastically in the 6 months I have been around. You'll be needing an update.

The Ego C kit is inferior to the Ego C Twist. The C system leaks and was not a real improvement over the EGO T system it was supposed to replace. You can get a 900mah EGO C Twist "replacement battery" for $18 each (recommend you get two)
from Vaporbeast with FREE SHIPPING here:

http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/a28.htm

You'll also need an EGO charger ($3 from Vaporbeast, free shipping as well). For the atomizer I recommend the E1-V (from DiscountVapers.com) or the Vivi Nova Mini. Both are find products but the E1-V is the better of the two. DiscountVapers charges for shipping but it will likely be about $2.50 per small order. I also recommend that you pick up a 5 pack of Boge cartomizers (Vaporbeast for that) for emergency purposes because they come in handy and they're cheap, last forever if you clean them (details how in the Vaper's Handbook) and fun to try...

With any luck you will be smoke free on your first day like me. I recommend that when you get your kit that you spend the time charging your batteries to full and start vaping fresh on a new day. This will greatly increase the chances of your quitting on the first day and never looking back. I wish you the best of luck.

I like your attitude. I've found that I like vaping much more than I did smoking. By the time I quit smoking I don't think I was even tasting them anymore. Vape as much as you need to when you start vaping again. And we're all here for moral support. :)

Thank you kiwi. Your post helps inspire me that I can kick a 8-1/2 year old habit. I'm only 26. It's time so I can repair damage analogs have done.

It's not all that hard. Just enjoy vaping. The only way it won't work for you is if the setup is wrong.

I loved smoking, but have been vaping the last 2 months. Tonight I went out and instead of bumming cigarettes I was letting friends try my provari, It really is an amazing thing once you get the set up right.

Make sure you do your research and don't worry to much about money... Eventually vaping will pay for itself either dollars or years.

Glad you gave me this information. I'll cancel my order for the C kit ASAP. I didn't initially realize exactly what I chose I guess.

Even if you don't quit smoking right away don't worry about it. Just go at your own pace. It's all about the cigarettes that you didn't smoke because of vaping. If you need to have a cigarette, have one. Don't beat yourself up over it.

It took me 6 months of vaping and smoking to finally find something that worked for me to keep me away from cigarettes. Granted this was years ago and there wasn't anywhere close to as many options back then. I was stuck modding carts (blue foam, tea bags, etc...) or dripping to find something that worked. Cartos were still in their infancy back then and tanks didn't exist.

Strigoi, I can't begin to tell how much I admire you for sticking to vaping years ago. I looked into e-cigs a few years ago and couldn't find any hints of anyone who managed to get them to work reliably for anything but a very short time. I would like to thank all the early adopters who struggled and made it so easy for me to quit my 2+ PAD cigarette habit on day one.

Hott_Karl, everyone finds different things that work for them but I found that taking a two or three hits every ten to fifteen minutes helped me a lot. It did a good job of leveling out my nicotine levels so I never got to craving a cigarette.

Also, I vape a higher dosage nicotine content an hour before going to bed and again when I get up in the morning to make up for the nicotine level drops helped as well.

Best of luck getting vaping to work for successfully on this go around.

Just make sure you have some extra juice incase you run out, Happened to me I went back to cigs for a while

Agreed. 30ml of juice is the bare minimum anyone should order with their starter ecig. This will buy you enough time, one you have learned what's what, to get another shipped to your house. That's providing that you don't tarry more than a couple days before your next order.

For me personally I ordered 20mg of juice and it was enough to last me until, just a couple days later, I ordered the supplies I needed to DIY my own juice (including a trip to Walmart).

If you would like more information about DIY juice, as I mentioned before, please click the link to the Vaper's Handbook in my signature and ready away. It's all there.

I quit the first day I got my KGO (which was all the rage at the time) by starting a new day with ecigs alone. I had smoked Marlboro full flavors for 13 years at a rate of a pack of day.

My best advice is to take the first day and charge your batteries. Smoke as normal and get your equipment ready and then vape the next day. This works best when you also have no cigarettes left in your pack. I had 4 left when I got my KGO and the mail ran late but I was sick so I had taken the day off of work and took a nap only to awaken when the mail had run. In my mind that was a new day since I has just woken up and I'd only had 1 cigarette that morning (before I took the nap).

I hope that this also works for you, but like this person said, give it time. I've had conversations with vapers who'd invested in their smoking future and still ended up vaping. One person in particular bought 10 cartons of cigs before they decided they'd try vaping. Over a year's time, and with great determination to make their investment count, they managed to still have 2 packs left by the time they were vaping 24/7.

This WILL work if you give it a chance.

BTW: a week after I'd started vaping I decided (while drinking) to smoke an analog. It was gross. I couldn't finish it even while drunk. I now regard smokers as potential converts, sheep who've lost their path.

Made the switch in Feb. You have to want it. You are still going to have cravings. Just find that juice you like the most. Dont stick to tobacco juices thinking that is the answer. For me it was apple pie. Menthol smoker who loves mountain dew. I hate those juices. Who would have thought. You can do it!

Hi Karl - I don't see anything wrong with not keeping it. The twist has variable voltage which is the difference. It goes up to 4.8 volts.
If you're looking at variable voltage there's a new KGO variable voltage: KGO V.V. 650mAh
That goes up to 6 volts.

A couple of forum threads on it:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9812-info-kgo-vv-batteries-3-0-6-0-volts.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...cussion/325589-kgo-vv-3-0-6-0-thoughts-6.html

Some folks call it a "twist killer".

There's also variable voltage mods.

I see nothing wrong with the kit you've chosen tho.

I am wondering if I should end up keeping the Ego-C kit I have on its way. Would the charger work for a twist. Or do I turn around and return the kit?

It'd be fine to keep as a backup or you can always gift it to someone you care about. Christmas isn't that far away. Make sure you charge it a little bit though if you plan to store it. I don't recommend giving it a full charge but a half an hour to an hour would go a long way for keeping it from self discharging too much by Christmas.

Yes the charger will work, but if you want to double check the output should be 4.2 volts and 420ma. You will find that info on a label that is attached to where you screw in the ego battery.

Get yourself some Swedish Snus - if you haven't come across this in your research, it's a safer tobacco product that provides the whole tobacco alkaloid (wta) with much lower TSNA's (tobacco specific nitrosamines are recognized as the part of smoking cigarettes that cause cancer).

If you choose to only vape, just understand that your withdrawals from smoking will last ten days instead of three.

Withdrawals? Okay...maybe some. I smoked 43 years....much of that time at over 2 PAD, full flavor 100's or more. By the last few years I was a chain smoker. A cigarette was always in my hand, and yes...I'd lite a new cig with the .... of the previous one many times. I had calluses on my thumb from the lighters. I was smoking a cigarette when the mail came with my first PV kit. I put out that cig and never picked it up again. I quit smoking with my first vape.

I'm not saying it's that "easy" for everyone. Just telling ya how it went for me. It wasn't a "new day" and I had 7 new packs in a new carton in my laundry room (although starting fresh on a new day and not having temptation around might be good ideas for some people). I still have them...only those 7 packs are in a plastic bag in my freezer where they've been for the past 10 1/2 months. What withdrawals I did have were basically...sore gums about a week into vaping. A little dizziness (but that might have been because I was vaping too high a nic level). Some insomnia and weird dreams when I did sleep. Some anxiety. All passed pretty quickly. I dropped the nic level from 24 to 18 then 12. Within around 6 months I was vaping 6mg. and am now am at 5mg. Everyone is different.
