I was at work and had no small needle bottle and a bottle of Halo Tribeca and thought okay, I am going to attempt....the dreaded......TOP FILL:?:

Of course my first one was a FAIL. I did not hold the tank down firmly enough and my beloved Tribeca and its golden hue, adorned my office desk:oops:

I thought to myself, IDIOT, HOLD THE tank DOWN FIRMLY. I unscrewed, stood the entire device squarely on my desk on the pin, held the tank down firmly and square with my left hand, unscrewed my bottle and dripped 5 dropper fulls with my right hand. Screwed the top down snug and VOILA.

No leaks, limited gurgle until I burned that off and the perfect top fill executed.

I have done it a few more times since. I don't know if anyone else has posted this phenomenon; probably so. I felt it was worth a thread to me.

For those that have tried to top fill KFLs, Aquas, Russians, and all our other tanks and clearos with massive failure this was a pretty good find for me.

Happy top filling all my fellow LEMO users:)

Yes bottom filling is easy but on my dna30 clopper my screwdown to connect to my pin makes it not easy to unscrew the device from the mod so that is the reason I top filled it. My pin connection in the bottom chamber has also been an issue so easier to not unscrew the base from the atty. That's why I top filled it. The point being that the device actually top fills.

The top of your chimney or the top AND bottom of your chimney. If the whole chimney comes off that's a problem of course. Hmmmmmmm.

The other benefit of the top fill is that eventually the bottom screw after being torqued down many times will become ineffective and leak juice. Then it's chapstick, teflon tape, little rubber o-ring time and we all know where that ends up.

On your initial screw down, try not to torque the top cap[ as tight and see if it will then spin free from the upper chimney...I very lightly snug my tanks down. They seem to operate better, create a little more airflow when they are just snug to a seal....

After I unscrew the top cap I immediately tighten down the chimney to make sure it is seated before I load with juice. After filling I turn it upside down and drain any juice that found its way into the chimney tube.
