I am attempting to try once again to get off analogs and go back to my e-cig. My question: I purchased a bottle of e-liquid from V2 Cigs back in March of this year. I have not used it although I have opened it a couple of times. How long is liquid good for? It says on the outside of the box "Best Before 11/20/2015" so that's almost a year and a half from purchase date. Does that sound right? I have used e-liquids in the past but always vaped them pretty quickly..never just had a bottle sitting for this long. Some advice please...just don't want to get sick from using.

Might depend on how it's been stored. Cool dark place is generally recommended, and 1 1/2 years sounds reasonable. The nic portion probably hasn't changed at all, the PG and VG are very stable. The only real issue might be the flavoring itself.

Open, sniff. If it smells ok, it probably is. But if you're really concerned, just dump it and start fresh. Peace of mind is worth a lot more than a bottle of juice :)

Agreeing with what David said. I've been DIYing my juice for a couple of years now. For about a year and a half, I've had a pretty stable recipe that I use constantly. I also give it out to friends sometimes.

I have seen some of the bottles of juice that I mixed a yearish prior, and it's much darker and significantly weaker in the smell from the bottle.

You probably won't get sick from it, but with the way that vaping has exploded in the last two years...you could very easily replace it at a vapor store nearby. And then take a look at all the cool new tech that's around while you're at it. :)

The longer e-juice sits the more it matures. A discoloration you may notice is from the aging process. This is not harmful but what you will notice is a change in taste. Some ejuice get more flavorful some get weaker. Some get harsher some get mellower. It all depends on the particular ejuice. I've been a DYI'r of ejuice for several years and have some juices that are over 2 years old and still very vapable.

I'm sure that what you have is still more then vapable so go ahead and sample some.
