Upon posting in another thread I happened to notice my signature and saw that I have surpassed the magical 1000 analogs avoided number! Sure there are plenty of people who have also hit that number and then some but it was still kind of cool to see that number pop up there.

This made me think of what number I was looking forward to next. Silly I know but we live in a society of statistics and numbers, or else how the hell else would I have known that I have not smoked 1000 tobacco cigarettes this last month? Sound logic right? I know, sometimes my genius is scary to me too. Anyway, I think goals help those that need something to shoot for. I figure with the number 1000 reached I have graduated E-Cig boot camp or E-Cig High School. Next number I am shooting for is 5000 analogs avoided, followed by 10000 and so on.

The scary part is that it took just over a month.

I remember how I often used to think, "Damn it, I've smoked more cigarettes today than my non-smoking friends have smoked in their lives."

No changing the past, of course, but I sure intend to never see the day where I put another analog in my mouth.

Good luck hitting those milestones!

Cool you guys rock and make me sick at the same time with my measly 1000 missed I sound like a pee wee baseball player bragging to Hank Aaron about how many home runs I hit in high school!

Now if only we could come up with cool names for the milestones, lol! It is weird how the numbers reach out to us though. I never gave the number of cigarettes I smoked a second thought, but like someone mentioned the real scary part is that it only took a month to reach 1000! I don't want to do the math for 32 yrs of it, I don't think numbers go that high.

Gratz on 1000 - nothin' measley about it!! I took my counter off of my sig cuz peops kept asking me too many questions about it, but I have been vaping for 2 YEARS now - so just think how many were on that sucker?! You are well on your way and it really does make a difference looking at those numbers. Just keep on vapin' :D

Take care,
- Hap

Thanks and in answer to the person who asked about the signatures just click on one of them and it will take you to the site where you can enter in your own information and numbers. There are a few of them around smokewithoutfire.uk. is one place, the front end here has one as well.

I have no intention of stopping I enjoy the success I have had with quitting smoking tobacco cigarettes with this. I won't be going back to them and I also have my mother using one now and I never thought I would see that day.

I'm not going for "missed" cigarettes... but in 16h it is 1000 hours since my last analog

Gosh, I feel bad for people who live in states like the Carolinas where the government just about gives cigarettes away....how you gonna save any money on e-cigs?!?

I remember when we'd drive down I-95 and start seeing the billboards for South of the Border. We knew exactly how many miles until we hit the cheap cigs!

Uhmmm... it's kind of "bad enough" I'd say, the absolute cheapest stuff I used to find was $26/carton Marlbrrwhatevers about $35 ..... but yes, there are states where it is a lot more. But I still remember the "good 'ol times" when at exit 5 I85 you could buy a carton for $8.99 ;)

Savings, well, leaving aside the hardware, I use about 2.5ml/day and with creative purchasing and some own mixing that is about $1/day :D

I cracked the 1k and thought wow thats impressive and nasty as hell.

I used to save the butts for tabacco incase of the flat broke fiend ever hit.

Guess I am going to toss them and before I do see if there is 1k and what that looks like.

*GAG*PUKE*RETCH!*
Stopping at 300 for now the smell is making ill.

Congratulations to all of you! And to me too, I guess, since I've been a dedicated vaper for over four months now.

However, I never think about that. I vape because I love it. Sure, I'm still addicted to nicotine. But this is the only method I want to use to satisfy it. I do have most of an old pack of analogs sitting in my drawer ... for electronic emergencies. For example, a couple months ago, through shortsightedness, I found myself without a functioning atty (I was only vaping the 801). Of course I placed an emergency order, but while I was waiting...

I hated them. Satisfied the nicotine craving ... period. Tasted like crap. And the throat hit / smoke blowing experience was over so quickly. Wham, bam, thank you sir. No foreplay, no afterglow. No long lingering multi-flavored vaping experience. Shoulda worn a patch.

Now is that the 300 or is that from the pile that you were counting out of? Whichever it is that's a nasty looking pile and reinforcement for anyone wavering on the fence.

I don't think about the number of cigarettes not smoked either, I take it kind of like a alcoholic trying to get sober, one day at a time. It was nice to happen to catch the number in the sigbar and it is a great motivational tool especially for those just starting out with their E-cig. They can see just how long they have gone without a tobacco cigarette and give them the extra motivation to keep away from them, nobody wants to reset the number once you get it up there a bit I would think. I just about **** chickens when my atomizer went out on my first E-Cig back when I was too dumb to know to order spares and I was in a panic after only having quit for 4 days or so, I didn't want to start all over and I got lucky and scored one at the tobacco store.
