I woke up this morning ready to start packing for our Christmas trip as we do every year.
This morning however I was feeling especially lazy, I decided to read my morning news before I started and came across this little tidbit:

Congressman fights for his right to be a vapebro

Now I know this particular site to be active with vaping news as it's heavily focused on technology and what not, but they seem to take every bit of misinformation they can find about our hobby and amplify it by x100. Normally I would just close the page and laugh it off, but this story wasn't originally about the negatives of vaping, it was about a congressman from California who was fighting for our rights to vape and create awareness that yes vaping can indeed help people quit smoking!

Well as a result of the positive light he created this site decided it was time to absolutely destroy any theory he had and bring up as much dirty laundry as they could find on vaping. The sad part is lately they've only been censoring comments on certain topics on their site. Guess which article was closed with no comments allowed? I think I'm done with the Verge for a while, I honestly did enjoy their tech news but as of late I'm starting to see them in a whole new light.

Falsities and lies always fight hardest just before they succumb to the light of reason and reality. I am seeing some push back, and sanity is winning. Make sure you vote, and know who and what you are voting for, be mindful that Pro-Con adds, yea, even ballot measures themselves, are usually written in double speak. Make it a passion to search for the truth. Even when it is time consuming.

she is active on twitter and already making comments about vapers and this article, although, by her comments there she seems very immature.

Hi wonder how they would spin it if 'O' vaped and they found that vaping fixed global warming
We should do a study on the effects vaping has on car exhaust lmao, wonder if it exhaust binds to the vape and then dissipates/lands and actually cleans the air lol...

Contact them asking how they expect to be taken seriously with articles and a writer like that.

Oh I've given them a piece of my mind in the past, believe that!
Their editor in chief knows me by name and tends to defend their writers in any way no matter how idiotic their stories are and they can get pretty idiotic.

They completely did a 360, around a year ago they were prasing vaping and how we were bringing technology to a 100+ year old habit. But as of late they seem to have completely changed their minds.

PG is actually used in "air sanitizers" like Ozium and Oust for precisely this reason. I'm no scientist and don't know exactly how it works, but PG somehow bonds with harmful things in the air and drags it to the ground as it falls. At least that's my understanding.

Makes you wonder what skill set is needed to write for them!! I looked at her Twitter feed, I think she just turned 14 a week or so ago!!!!
According to her facebook page, her last job was working at a bagel store....

I'm sorry, but a 14 year old girl is the media manager of this site? That is all fine and good if she is well educated and informed (more so than your average 14 year old) and can back that up, but an article like that suggests otherwise.

I said that with a great deal of sarcasm!! I have no clue as to her actual age, just based on her Twitter responses!! Sorry for the confusion

Definitely agree about her being about 14-15 yrs old. Most of the people she mentions, I've either never heard of, or have no idea what they've done in order to be famous (if anything).

And she has a job WRITING? Advanced Composition standards have definitely come down. I guess her school felt it was a victory that she's literate at all; so many aren't.
