I was driving to work this morning, my normal one hour commute. Normally, I would have 4 cigarettes on the drive. Today, I left my smokes at home to see if I could make it through the day without them.
Doing 80 on the interstate, rockin' out to Chickenfoot's new album, and taking a puff on my Janty Stick every three to five minutes. I pulled into work and realized that I didn't have any desire to have a cigarette.
I've been a bit sick over the last couple of days, and after an hour at work I realized that I was actually starting to feel a little worse, so I decided to come home. There is a bug going around, and the last thing we need is for me to spread it around the office. So I grabbed my laptop to do some work at home, and left.
An hour back home, puffing away on my JS, rockin' out again. I pull in the driveway, and realize, to my amazement, I still didn't want a cig.
Yeah... I can do this!
And if I can do it, anyone can.
