Ugg, everytime I spend hours reading up on all things vape....the further down the rabbit hole I slide. 38 years smokin Camels, 6months augmenting that with disposable ecigs, then bought Blue system. Yuck. Started vaping several months ago. Would love to be analog free. Just hasn't happened completely. I have a couple PVs. The starter 3.6 batt , bottom and top load glass tanks, a VV also. My dream is : to vape with NO PG, NO or Low nic, I'm at 30mg nic now n hittin hard for that elusive bigg asss TH. So- no nic, vg only, big TH. I cannot add vodka or evercleer, not an option. Distilled h2o yes. Any suggestions please add a photo or link. Killer 706 clone was suggested. Genesis was suggested. Menthol, cinnamon, clove suggested to me for jiuce, and blue water something or other. I love y'all on here, ty for your kindness & patience. PeaceLove&VapeOn

my personal advice is to go to a dripper type atomizer as 100% VG will not wick into a top coil RBT like the genesis tanks very well. Yes a dripper is not as convenient as a tank but VG is thick.

A micro coil in a dripper may be the way to go for TH - you will need to get a protected mod that you can check for shorts and the ohms on.

I personally smoked almost 2 PAD for 36 years and started vaping in April and am down to 2mg nic now so it can be done. (and I am a pisces also)

Some juice vendors (like MTBAKERVAPOR) can add throat hit to your juice through specific ingredients. .. (I think MBV calls it capsicum).
The dripper is a great idea... Also adjusting the air hole in a rebuildable away from your coil (even just 1mm) can increase TH a great deal!

no nic and TH? Hard to get! The dripper is nice but you need to have your juice with you all the time (nimbus works really well). Genesis is ok but hard to build and it can leak. Silica RBA is also a good option:kayfun or ithaka for instance.

Nothing wrong with vaping 100% VG, but most flavors are PG based. I vape 80% VG mix. Am at 12mg of nic, get plenty of throat hit and nic hit.

You might want to look into a quality rba. Get all the flavor of a dripper, with a decent tank of juice. Something like the Russian 91% or kayfun lite plus, are excellent first time rba's. Easy to build, can adjust the throat hit by raising the build higher. Produce great vape. The Aqua rba would simply blow you into vape heaven, a little more advanced rba, but fantastic rba. There are just so many options out there. I like bottom coil atomizers, and that's what I look for in most re-buildable atomizers. Own the Russian, Terminator-C, Fogger V3 and the Aqua. All bottom coil rba's, and all give great vape. The Aqua is by far the best performer of the lot, and my favorite to date.

Just check out the options, find the style that looks good to you, view the builds on YouTube, and when you find one that makes you say, yeah, that makes sense, I can do that! go with that one. That's what I do when looking for new gear. And when I see one that looks extra special with all the features I want, that's what I get.

Good luck on your quest, I was a smoker for 27 years, pad camel filters, and have been a vaper for a tad over 6 months. If you are not up to rba's yet, a good choice would be the Aspire Vivi Nova BDC. Great vape production with changeable coil heads. A good step in the right direction, great price too.

Are you sure it's a missing throat hit that's the problem? TH is all very nice, but is that what is really missing here to get you off analogs?

One big problem some people have with vaping is expecting too much of a cigarette experience, combining intermittent vaping with the expectation that they can get an instant cigarette buzz like you do with a cigarette. You can vape yourself sick chasing that. You actually have to work at vaping enough and in a consistent pattern when you start. Hit and miss vaping or chasing cravings isn't a good approach There's nothing automatic about vaping - a PV won't do a thing for you unless you pick it up and push a button every time. In it's own way, when you start vaping enough can be a lot of work compared to smoking. Just something to ponder.

I tried 100% vg and it felt like nothing. TH comes from nic./PG
VG is for vapour production. Don't really know what to recommend other than strong throaty flavours like a dark tobacco but really you need some PG/nic for some throat hit in my experience.
Menthol crystals would add a little TH in a 100%VG mix. Other than that........I'm stumped
