I am currently using the Odyssey mechanical mod from Totally Wicked. It hits great, but I'm looking for max vapor:vapor: I have been looking for a new one that uses a 18600. I have the natural, kick, and batteries sitting in my cart on Gotvapes, but all the pics I've seen shows a gap between the tank and the mod. Does anyone know if this is just a bad pic or is it always gaped like that? Or can anyone recommend a smooth stainless mod that supports a kick or has variable watts. Smoke free since Oct. 2012 so I'm still learning. Much thanks for any help

I don't have the natural but when I was looking into getting my first mechanical, it was on my list of devices to look at. Based on reviews that I've watched on youtube, there will be a gap when u put devices on top. The 510 threading isnt flush so that certain devices can still have air flowing through it. I've heard of many folks grinding that down a bit until its flush since they're using drippers and genesis attys anyway. Air flow wouldnt be an issue in those cases.

yeah that's what I'm noticing. I'm really wanting something in stainless with more of a hit and more vapor than a standard 3.7 mod.

Max vapor can still be achieved with a 3.7 mechanical. It just depends on what kind of device you have on top, resistance, battery power, etc.

If alot of tinkering isnt your thing, maybe I'd recommend a variable voltage/variable wattage device. Voltage can be adjusted on these. I started with an eVic and I loved it. Way better than any ego twist type devices. Grew out of that after a while and stepped into the mech mod game and sub-ohm vaping. eVics unfortunately arent stainless though. Maybe a vamo or a tesla might give you that stainless look that you're searching for.

if you do decide to grind on it, just make sure that you put some cotton or something down in the atty connector to keep any metal parts from shorting it out once you go to put that atty back on. Sometimes metal shavings can be a pain the eradicate once there

Great tip, so thanks!

I'm thinking I may just get a washer and grind some slots in it for air. I just really want a clean and tight stainless look. The Odyssey tank is so far the best looking tank I've come across. I'm open to suggestions. Performance is more important than looks, even though looks are important. So far I'm finding a lot of info here. By the way this is my first forum
