I wonder why it won't work on them?

No clue but I won't be purchasing anymore "FS" ego products. So far they don't work on these or the Mega smart carts. Definite thumbs down on the FS ego....I got sucked in by the low price when I saw the "sale" thread here on ECF. Never again will I buy a 2nd rate product.

In their defense they do work fin with regular or low resistance attys and cartos. But any product which attaches via the "cone" threads will not work.

I had a feeling all along that with double threading of the echo-e, by that meaning, the thread on the cone threads and the battery threads simultaineously [...]

That's interesting. Indeed, you'll be reading some reports. There will probably be genuine joye batts these won't work on too. When the cone mega attys (ego mega type A) were starting to hit the Chinese websites, the photos showed double threads. When they made it to retail, they were just 510 threads, and that's why.

Well, I just double checked the echo-e cartos that I have and there are no threads on the cone end of the carto. Threading is done completely with the battery connection.

That's good news then. I might give those a try.

txtumbleweed reported in his review that the echo-e cartos have a tighter draw than the go-go. Can anyone comment on that with maybe a comparison to other cartos or devices?

The Echo-e doesn't actually have inner threads on the cone it just screws into the 510 connector and the cone covers the threads. It works great on all my egos and Rivas.

Sorry Mohawkx I didn't read where you corrected youself. So we both jumped the gun a little. lol:2cool:

They work great on all regular ego's and Riva's. Bo was talking about them not working on some ego clone he had that wouldn't work on some other cartos as well. It works great on my joye ego-t battery as well as my Rivas from LF and on another Riva clone I have.

Understood. That's good news, too. The cropduster 4.8v box mod has been climbing my list of "items to buy" and will likely end up in the shopping cart when the job I'm on right now pays. Since I'll be there anyway, I'll pick up a handful of the echo-e's and give them a try. It sure couldn't hurt to have a couple of 1000 mah ego batts with high capacity long-life cartos in my desk drawer at work.

So...That sounds worth trying. Review this center pin lifting procedure for me and I'll try it and report back...

Just very gently raise the center pin on the battery with a pair of tweezers or a paper clip wedged in. Just do it a very little bit or you'll pull the center pin out completely. It is the "repair of last resort" on batteries that won't fire and usually works.

New Carto/Echo-E user with questions.

I have been Vaping since January and started immediately with a Tornado Tank and have not used anything else up until now. I picked up a Echo-E and have a couple questions.

Are there different tips I can get or what type of tip should I be using on these? I got 2 and they both came with a rubber tip, which I have already lost 1, as they are not very tight.

About how many drops are people putting in these? I am doing 5 then wait, then 5 more then wait. Should I just keep going until it drips out the bottom?

Can I just pull the white material out with tweezers and wash under water? Do I also need to be washing/blowing them out before changing flavors?

I really love it so far. So much flavor over the Tank.

Thank you!

You can use the tips from the 801 penstyle, or you can twist and push the rubber tips on further and they will stay.

I use a syringe, so I can't tell you how many drops. Also, drops are very subjective, I have some bottles that give small drops and others that give very large drops, and some that give drops in between. I would just keep going until you get a drop out the bottom. I then let it rest on a napkin for about 5 minutes, give a couple quick puffs on it before connecting it up to the battery, then wipe off the connector and put it on the batt.

There's a thread on cleaning the go-go that people say will work, but I don't know that anyone has actually had to clean one of these yet to confirm it.

I also use the a syringe it is very fast and you know exactly how much you are putting in but dripping is fine too. Thicker juice will take a little longer but a new carto should take at least 100 drops from most bottles. I usually drop 20 drops on one side 20 0n the other and keep rotating working down to ten drops when it starts to fill. It will pool at the top and you don't want it to go in the center air hole or it will just drip through and give you a false full drip out the bottom sign.
You can also use the drip tip for a 801 if you don't like the whistle tip and it stays on very good. Like was said you can push the whistle tip on farther by twisting and pushing and then it will stay on. It is kind of hard at first but will be easier the second time.
You don't want to just pull out the filler because it is a little work to get back in proper so it will work right. The Echo is a little different than the Go-Go being as it is cone shaped but it is reported by iGo users that this method will work with the cone carto. Here is a really good thread on cleaning and re-inserting the filler. You can first try to just run hot water through them for minor cleaning but if the coil is gunked after a long period of use you will want to use the extensive cleaning method and dry burn the coil as described here. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/188388-how-clean-rebuild-gogo-cartomizer.html
