Our experiences are kinda similar.
I started out on the Blu on my doctors recommendation. OK he's a doctor, not a PV expert but I have to give him credit for being pro-PV.
Anyway, the Blu was just barely short of a total waste of money but it did get me pointed in the right direction, and my inquiries led me to this site which was a MAJOR help.
Based on numerous glowing reviews I ordered an eGo-T to see if maybe that was the answer. OK, there were a few grumbles about leaks, but my experience on product forums in the past has taught me that dissatisfied users gripe at least ten times more than satisfied customers praise.
So I got the eGo-T and was thrilled with it... For about a week. It leaked occasionally right from the start. I bought a few more atty's, new tanks, soft caps, etc. but they all leaked as well. The leaks just got to be too much for me to tolerate so I spent more money on the eGo Mega carts and atties, which were a vast improvement over the tanks but I kept getting a burnt filler taste, even with a freshly filled cart, and dripping is just too much like work so I bypassed that option.
Unacceptable!
So I bought a few echo-e carto's as well as some boge's and a few 510 mega dual coil carto's. All worked really well except they were always empty at the wrong time. The echo-e not so much but still not perfect.
Then I tried the EMDCC's (Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer) from MadVapes...
I have ARRIVED!
The tank atties are collecting dust, the boge's and other 510 carto's I still use as loaners so I can get all my co-workers off analogs and into vaping, the Mega carts and atties are useful for trying out new flavors or recipies, but the EMDCC is my go-to solution. At least until the next wild new gizmo comes out.
Anyway, Welcome, and congratulations!
