I've only been building coils for a short time, but since I focus on dual coils, I know how to look for problems. If you have dual coils, brand new, and one is turning dark in the center while the other is staying silver as jewelry, you have a problem. Even the slightest tightening of a screw can completely fix this. Or gunky coils start to have this problem too, and a quick dry burn with no cotton completely fixes it - and with gunky coils, the first dry fire will show you clearly how uneven the heat distribution can get until it fixes itself.

So with the new vertical Kanger OCC's, virtaually all of them have heated up in one single wrap in the center wrap, scorching the cotton around that one wrap, but none of the other 100 wraps are heating up in the slightest, staying silver with perfectly white cotton around those sections, even after hours of trying to vape.

This has left my coils with a burny cotton taste, and coils are supposed to heat up evenly. One single wrap portion heating up at 30 watts still gives decent clouds (not nearly enough) but tastes awful, like monkey .....

The posts and grommets on these coils are so busted that grommets are malformed and twisted up, and coil legs are touching metal portions. These coils are jacked up and shouldn't even be allowed on the market. My first pack was fantastic but my second is from a junkyard. Don't buy them.
