The New PS Atomizer

I don't know where PS is on the design of the new US made atomizer, but this is what I would like to see:

Internal threads on the atomizer cylinder, like the threads on the battery compartment of the Prodigy. This way, you can crank it down without the worry of ripping the atomizer apart.

That's all I can say for now, because I don't know the other inter-workins of the atty, other than when I was composing this thread, I had a new atty go out on my Prodigy that received last week.

That's too bad!

This Chinese crap we have to buy is almost equal to buying analogs as far as costs go, and it shouldn't be.

The juice and the carts should be the consumables, not the atomizers.

Oh well, maybe someone will someday come up with something.

Curios which Atty you are using - I have used 510's for over three months and have never (knock on wood) lost one...

I'm using the Pen (801). Last year when I was on 3.7v, I never (rarely) went through them. Now that I run 5+ volts, I go through them quickly.

I do have a tendency to run them more wet than dry but it seems that they were all designed around the 3.7v system, not the 5+ systems.

I wish I new what made them tick and could help in the redesign process.

This has been posted before but it helped me to understand how the atty works. Maybe it will answer a few of your questions. You can save this file to your computer and then blow it up. You can really see what is going on inside there after looking at this. Hope it helps.

Pan, I've been using the 801 since February, and the Prodigy since May and I've only lost maybe 4 attys. 2 with china batts and two with the Prodigy. If you buy in bulk, (minimum 25 from Puresmoker) they average about $5.25 a piece. If they last for a week of not smoking analogs, then it's more than paid for itself. That's the way I look at it.

Besides, even if they could make an atty that never died, Why would they? They used to make Cadillacs that would last for 50 years. The ones that come out today wont be around 50 years from now.
