Bounce bounce bounce, happy happy!

REO for Spooky unpacked. It's SO pretty. Black wrinkle blue door and the blue is PERFECt for me my perfect color of somewhere around cobalt and it sparkles subtly!

Awaiting my atty. Oh and I need a battery charger, Rob was out. Best suggestion for charger 18650 batteries?

If THIS is a blem I certain can't find it.

No experience with that gear, if it was a BF Reo I'd say too thick a cotton and too long a tails on that wick.

I followed your advice, went thinner, trimmed the tails and I could hit it, but some minor flooding... added a thin piece on top to seal the edges a little more and it's hitting awesome... Thank you!!! So to avoid needing the top piece, I'll just have to find the happy medium on cotton thickness. Not sure if it was the tails or the thickness since I changed both at the same time, but at least it's working and I have a good in person visual representation of where I need to be in the future... Wakonda is hitting awesome @ 20watts right now!!!!

Thank you!!!

That was definitely too much cotton. Beyond that i have no idea i could never got that kind of gear to produce a reliable vape  my struggles are chronicled in ECF for my grand children to read one day...

I have been havng issues building a good coil that will last lately - lots of hot legs. It was mentioned to me on the REO forums to try ordering kanthal from Temco instead of ebay to be sure it's good quality wire - which is on its way. In the meantime ive been experimenting with higher ohm coils. I heard somewhere that more wraps = less chance of hot legs. currently rocking a 1.3 ohm coil in one of my REOs - i am surprised by it. it is kicking some dry llama ayuss right now. Wakonda tastes different than at 1 ohm - not by a lot - but I may actually prefer it, and that's what surprises me. Also definitely prefer Banana Pudding around 1.2-1.3. Does anyone else out there like to run this kind of ohm? Seems like most everyone likes around 1 or below. My air holes are also drilled out to 1/16 inch right now.

What gauge wire you running and what style of coils? I run duel 26g micros on my Cyclones and a single 24g micro in my RM2 and don't have issues with hot legs.

I run mine at between 1.1-1.3...currently doing that in my tobh dripper and the reo..both came in at 1.3 ohm...i use 30gauge wire...so about 6 wraps on my little tool thingy :)

Using 28ga kanthal around the 1/16 wire gizmo rod. I think 10 wraps landed me at 1.3 ohms. And honestly Wakonda tastes just as good if not better than 1 ohm. I'm beginning to question what the real point of low ohms are - I know some people prefer the warmer vape, and I realize duals with subohm would produce hellacious vapor with little input. But flavor seems as good to me at 1.3 as .9 on my RM2 - and if Im not mistaken battery life is lengthened with higher resistance?

edit - I'm just trying to figure out if I'm missing something I may enjoy by not diving into lower ohms. Because for now, 1.2-1.3 seems good and easier to make a coil without hot legs
