Distorto, next time you breakdown a Cyclone, would you kindly snap a pic and post it for me so I can check the wicking please. Thanks man!

S, Wicking is a subjective thing with varying opinions but this is what works for me. This one is a Cyclone AFC running "wide open" built with 28g razor wire and built to 0.6 ohms and Cotton Bacon wick. I have found that by wicking this way, I don't have to squonk quite as much and since I tend to take deep lung hits with this one (ACB) it never runs dry after a fresh squeeze and allows me 3-4 good pulls before having to squonk again.

The first picture shows the initial cut. I then trim the short end a bit more and tuck it under with needle nosed tweezers. With the longer end, I wrap it around the post and eyeball the cut. Always make sure to leave and ample "air gap" under the coil itself.

I get great flavor with this set up and pretty damn good vapor production as well if I do say so myself...;)

For some damn reason either ECF or imgur won't allow me to load these in the larger format but if you click on them they should get a bit bigger.

That's awesome! Thanks to both of you! I got RxW and Rayon/Cotton covered now....
Once again. My expectations have been exceeded. Now if they would just ship it out!

Taki, I know you love your Cyclones as I do too but, you may wish to get a hold of pdib and give the Nuppin a try. I am really enjoying mine. They fit just perfect on the Reo as well. I bought two. The first one is shown here built with dual Clapton coils to 0.4 ohms on the Sumpin and the second is a single coil which is parked on one of the Reo's. In fact, I like them enough that I recently had Peter send me a third! The delivery and drainage during the squonk are excellent as the flavors are as well. The Strawnilla is delicious with this one!

Quick question.

Do you guys change out your KDG wicks every time you change flavors (for the Reo)?

Thanks,
Dani

Hey Dani...I'm not a reo user but I change my wicks pretty often. I base it all on how dark/gunky the wicks are looking. Also, if I'm sampling flavors with completely different flavor profiles, then each flavor will get new wicks. One nice thing I've found about TV and Wakonda is that they "flow" really well together. But to answer your original question, I only change wicks with flavors when the flavors are very different. I.E going from an NET tobacco blend to some fruit blend.

Depends on what flavor I am switching too, if they compliment each other no. If they are totally different then yeah I will rewick, other than that I just rewick when they get kind of gunky.

Ditto to this, with similar flavors no change is really needed for me. CB and CLS compliment each other at times :D

I just dry burn my readyXwick and continue going. I did that three times yesterday for three different flavors lol

Tracey

I can't Like in StoopidTalk anymore, but I dry burned my RxW on the drive in while switching from GCD to ACB.
