FB, could you explain the difference between a cyclone and an rm2? I'll have about a hundred dollars left over from my tax refund check and as much as I love my rm2, id like to try another atty on this Reo. I've read nothing but good reviews on the cyclone so I'm interested in trying one but I'd like to know the differences first. Thanks!

Lynn....

My cyclone Filthy-Beast gave me IS AWESOME!!! The flavor just shoots the RM2 out of the water. But I still really like the RM2! But if I had to chose, I would chose the Cyclone.

Edit: I need to add that FB also drilled out a larger air hole in it. Perhaps a 1/16th? That might make a difference in taste.

Thanks Dani! But what's different about it? Are they easier to build? Tighter draw? I love my RM2 but I have nothing to compare to yk?

The first big difference is the RM2 is plated brass and Cylone is all stainless steel.

The RM2 has the spread out posts that are slightly set back from center giving a little more room for the coil. The Cyclone has a post dead center, and the one next to it.

RM2 has the feed drain hole while the Cyclone feeds though a hole in the center pin.

Cyclone has the AFC top available for adjustable air flow control. With a standard top it will work on regular or LP Reos, the AFC needs a LP Reo. The standard top is for single coils unless you drill a 2nd hole. AFC top is geared for dual coils.

Standard Cyclone I find you dial in the Vape very close between it and the RM2, with edge going to the Cyclone.

It looks like Peter, Pdib, is going to pull off a 2nd run of Nuppins I'd strongly suggest you look at one of those. It is one the only RBA that is great at high ohm single coils all the way down to very low ohm dual coils. Should be around that price but will need an LP

In my opinion, the draw is tighter but it really brings out the taste. I learned how to build on a Cyclone from the loaner Reo I had, so I think they're about the same to build on as in technique, but I believe the cyclone is smaller to build on. You'd get the hang of it in no time.

I watched Super_X_Drifter build on a Nuppin and it looked way too advanced for me as a beginner. But you could be a pro at it.

Edit: Just saw FB's post above. He says it's harder to build on, so I believe his word. He's way more advanced than I am. But I learned in no time.

Harder just because there is less space to move around in and a metal deck instead of ceramic.

I'm not an expert by any means but I don't think a smaller deck will be that much of a problem for me as I have really small hands. I have a sl lp mini Reo and have to hold it with one hand and squonk with the other. They are really small! Lol Like size 4 ring size, kids gloves fit me small.

If you're not having any problems with your current setups I wouldn't bother. You already know why I'm sending mine in...

Got my first Grand with the new 510 yesterday. Was supposed to be an anodized black LP, but they sent an anodized black LP/SL. I let Rob know, he said keep it if I want or send it back and he'll correct it. My LP Mini is in shipment to Rob and I sold my other LP Mini to a co-worker (who is currently vaping Strawnilla in it :D ), and I just can't be without at least one Reo any more. If I had another, I would have gladly sent it back since I only paid for a standard LP.

Silver Vein is back in stock, gonna have to order that one too I guess.

I really like how you did that. I might need to use that to justify to myself buying another atty :)

I think Dani has purchased a Cyclone from them too. I think her post is in one of these threads because I looked at it to see what they looked like.

Dani posted the link and I bought the Cyclone. I have not had any troubles from anything I have ordered from them. They are located not far from you, so you should get it fast.

There is less space on the Cyclone but the post holes are a bit larger. To me, that makes it easier to build on. The smaller chamber delivers better flavor than the RM2 did for me. But the ceramic deck on the RM2 does help prevent deck shorts.

I also have a Marquis which I love. It is what the Veritas wanted to be when it matured. That being said, I am also on the list for a Chalice III and 2 Numpin'
I like variety and experimentation in my gear :)

See? I told you I could be wrong! Thanks for clarifying Penguiness!

So...the cyclone doesn't have a hole in the bottom for the excess juice to drain back into the bottle? That would kinda suck as I tend to over squonk sometimes (usually when blind squonking)

Oh yes, it has a hole. I have NEVER over-squonked in the Cyclone. I do it all the time in the RM2.
