I know what you mean, babe -- I just sold off a half-dozen extra, I sometimes delude myself into thinking I have the cash to be a collector.......
I did the Joye 510 but went to a SB a month later. I never did the Ego thing at all, but am tempted to get a little Twist just for a pocket friendly device since they're so inexpensive. I guess I would recommend a nice clean carto, like a DCC, and something that gives the newb options- you can just tell them that the VV on a twist is "hit control", they could prolly get that without having to know the principles of electricity behind it at the beginning.
The main thing is the juice, and even those of us who know our way around realize that juice is so subjective. Start with your favorites, maybe show them some fav vendor sites.

I was getting vaped out on my favorite juices... so went into the big bag of stuff I'd gotten vaped out on months ago.... and rediscovered my Kick Bass Vapor Gooey Better Cake. MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm Today is a beautiful day!

No JEN-money, vaping itself is free; on another note, my crops of DIY flaves have excellent names... arbor gold, dornish red, wildfire, gift to r'hollr, tears of lys, frey pie... nobody knows what they taste like but dang if the names aren't cool.
