I feel that this thread is long overdue. It is funny, even while writing it, I cannot believe I am doing this as those who know me in real life know that I am VERY opinionated (I say passionate :)) about a variety of subjects. I am not what I would consider a wallflower and like to dive into the muck and debate with the best of them. I am not going to lie and tell all of you that I am always a positive person, but sometimes I can pull it off. :)

That being said, I felt that what I am about to say needs to be said here.

I am often put off by the fighting on this forum. I know how the dynamics of forums work, and I am not really surprised. Often, when you give a anonymous face to someone, they feel more comfortable voicing their opinions than they might normally be if they were face to face with someone. It is very similar to the number of review websites out there. People will have a experience at a restaurant, store, or business and then go home and in the safety of their own home, rip that place to shreds online. The issue with this is that they may be right or wrong but the place being reviewed has no real way of defending their business and now that opinion has a permanent place online for the entire world to see. The reviewer could have just been in a bad mood that day, and decided to take it out on that place. From that point on, millions of people will read that review, and possibly walk away with a negative opinion of that specific place. Sometimes it is obvious that the negative reviewer had a ulterior motive and sometimes not.

anyway back to my point.

You have heard of the phrase "different strokes for different folks"? No, I am not referring to the Gary Coleman show from the 80's. I am talking about people and life.

There is no single APV out there for everyone. If there was, this site would have one single vendor thread. Every person on here has a different need, opinion and fondness when it comes to all of these systems. Some like cool materials. Some like cartos. Some like attys. Some people like rebuildables. Not one single vendor has yet to come up with a device that will suit every person associated with this industry. If they had, they would be so wealthy that they would probably be retired by now. But this industry is not alone. I challenge anyone here to think of a single product, ideal, or opinion that every single person in the world agrees with. It is not possible. There is no car, religion, house, vegetable or cut of steak that every single person can agree is the one for everyone (except for bacon perhaps. everyone loves bacon). So why should we think the same thing would apply here.

I think it is important to recognize the differences that we all have when it comes to this "hobby" I think it would be nice if we respected each others opinions. I am not saying that you should not be passionate about what you think works for you. I know I am. I get so excited about what I love and use, that I want to shout it to the entire world (or at least this thread :)), but in the end we all have to remember that there are "different strokes for different folks".

I created this thread in hopes that people use it to post things they are happy about. It is a thread that should be enjoyable. Come participate and be happy. We should all be proud that we accomplished something positive. We quit smoking. Come here to support each other. just come here if you want a place where people get along.

My hope is that those who participate in this thread do so with joy. I hope to have a thread that is drama-free. Of course that might be asking a lot. I also hope to win the lottery someday, but doubt that is ever going to happen :)

love, the ob. the happiest guy on earth. :)

Not a bacon fan either.

I did get some awesome Tiger's Blood juice yesterday from Vixen Vapors. I even drove 45 miles (one way) in nearly 100 degree weather to get it. Awesome juice, love it, can't really say enough about it. I first tried it week before last not expecting much and am glad that I was wrong.

I also received and am enjoying some ce3's I got from discountvapers. Wish I had bought a couple more packs because now I want to try shoving one into a carto tank, but I only bought one pack to be sure I liked them first.

I quit drinking sodas a few months back after the doctor told me I was borderline diabetic. I had my first Barq's in over 2 months the other day and man was it ever awesome.

OK; you know what made me happy today? True story:

We went down the street to watch the 4th of July parade for Fremont. It was very fun; it has been years since I got to just hang out and watch a "neighborhood" Independence Day parade. As we walked back to a local restaurant for lunch, I started to feel an on-coming anxiety attack. I tried to "bull through it", but couldn't.

I used to have them a lot many, many years ago, but hadn't had them for about a decade until just recently. I think it has something to do with work stress building up until it bubbles over. Anywho, for those who've never had one, they are kinda inherently scary. You are filled with what the medic-type folks call "a sense of doom", and often get shaky, light-headed, reduced circulation in your extremities, and very agitated. Even though I know what they are and recognize the symptoms, conscious awareness of what is happening is not sufficient to prevent it from happening. Its a sub-conscious sort of thing.

So, we left the restaurant and went home where I laid down to let it run it's course (about all you can do other than taking some anti-anxiety med like Atavan or something, which I prefer not to do).

This is where the "happy" happens... of course, my lovely wife was cuddled up with me just giving her support and the psychological help that "having someone watch over me" provides. But then, in came the kitties. They were agitated themselves, because we have contractors in the house remodeling the master bath... but they sensed that I was in distress, and did what kitties do when one of "theirs" needs help - kitty pile. :) They both slumped against me and started purring, just being there for me and comforting.

Is it silly for a 47-year old man to get teary-eyed about that simple, instinctive animal sense of comforting community? All "my women" cuddled around me helping me get through a stressed time...

THAT'S something that made me happy today. :)

Emotions are pretty strong things and can make or break your day. I am really happy that yours ended up making your day after trying to ruin it. It is amazing what our "furry family members" can do for us. Both dogs and cats have a sense for their human companions that is not fully understood by non pet owners. Us pet owners know though, we can not explain it, we just know.

I agree with the spirit of this thread. I've seen pages of bickering over the merits vs. drawbacks of things like the LavaTube or Provari, and it never really accomplishes anything at all, other than wasted server space, IMO.

On the topic of some of the negative reviews here, I usually see all that I need to discount them in the OP. Sometimes I wish we could at least 'dislike' posts in that forum, even though I don't think 'disliking' posts is a good idea in general... I do tend to 'like' the vendor replies after those, when they handle it well.

LOL the ob! I had to go on youtube and watch the clip "clark goes berserk in the car". This post reminded me of that so much!
I would link it, but the video contains profanity, so be warned if you have kids. :)

It takes all kinds, as I've said in the past. There is positive and there is negative. In some roundabout way they compliment each other. The world would be boring without both.

I have a vegitarian teporarily living witsh me until him and my oldest son can afford their own apartment. Poor thing is starving in a house full of carnivores! I couldn't live without my bacon! I don't see how he does it, he says the only smell of meat that makes him sick is bacon. He knows he has to leave the house on Sunday mornings! Family breakfast day and there is always bacon!!!! I don't think I could vape bacon though.
