the Orbitron aka Panasonic NCR18650A 3100mAh battery?

Hi folks! Newbie ECFF'er Tigershark here, I just bought the new model 18650 battery charger: the xtar WP2 II. It comes with two Orbitron(Panasonic inside)It includes the charger which seems to do everything but the laundry and also includes two 3100 mAh NCR 18650A batteries. I am quite the Noob but I believe I read that Orbitron makes some decent stuff, but time will tell. I have a couple of questions: I made a mod from a Barbie doll my daughter abandoned and have been running it on 3 Duracell 950 mAh rechargeables as a means of getting a little more satisfaction than my Vapor Kings from electroniccigarettesinc have provided.(and the placement of the atomizer does turn heads when I vape up at University.) It looks as if Barbie is endowed with some of Kens anatomy(in metallic red)But seriously... is the kit I diverted some tuition money from to purchase going to be reliable or did I "screw the pooch?" All of the jargon!! For instance I intend to complete my ""Copper-like" VV mod soon and it will be a 3.7 volt. I wonder if the battery is "high-drain"enough and hence what type of Ohm rating atomizer/cartomizer would I be well advised to use? should I buy high, medium or low resistance equipment. Put this way:If it were you as the Noob, @3100 mAh and 3.7 V what number of Ohms would you buy? its about time to buy some new atomizers and cartomizers and I don't know which Ohm to get. Could/would someone please help me figure this stuff out? Oh and one last question for now..How long do ya'll think an all but flavored nicotine "superbase" can sit on the shelf til it went bad? Does it have a decent lifespan? how could I extend whatever lifetime it has before I have to flavor it and use?give it away. I got my mother interested in the ecig thing and she loves 12mg Mango so I'd like to make her like 50-75ml of it. SO glad shes finally trying to put away the 3000+ chemicals in the analogues! Ya' know? Thank you guys for reading this(presuming that you do) cause im really worried about learning to match proper ohm atty's to their batteries, etc. Sincerely,Tigershark

Hi and welcome to ECF. Here's Volts/ Ohms chart that will give you a general idea:

Nicotine Base, if stored in the freezer, will last up to two yrs. Enemies of juice are light, heat and air. I have some test samples in the freezer from 1 1/2 yrs ago and it's fine.

thanks for that chart Vapoor eyes! thank the Lord you sent it my way. I think I can now buy the right stuff not only for this mod but future ones. I am so broke with only a military pension and trying to get my engineering degree that theres no way I could buy an OEM PVand all the tanks and other stuff. I bought 100mg nicotine base in pg and a liter each of PG and VG and went to the Flavor Apprentice and bought 1ounce of 7 flavors. Its amaking..Ive been paying 8 dollars for 10ml of juice and will be making it for a hair over one dollar per 10ml bottle. I tore apart a transformer box from an old broken printer and gutted it then used a batt connector I made from an RF connector to make the mod. except for the batteries it cost about 3 dollars. Man it sucks to be broke but Im saving a fortune(and my life) by vaping! my friends give me their old cartos when they go dry and I refill them over and again. Neccesity is the mother of all invention but so is poverty huh? Thanks again for the chart and the info on juice shelf life. now I don't have to vape out of a Barbie doll. people look at me as if im weird. The doll was the only thing I had free that could hold the components. Im really NOT a weirdo! so thank you a great deal Vapoor Eyes and have a great day. Tigershark

You're welcome. Seeing as you're getting into DIY (I began 1 month after I started to vape) realize also some of your juices may need to be steeped. In that case heat and air can be your ally in steeping fresh juices. I only buy stuff that's on sale and am a controlled shopper. If your looking for cheap consider a clearo type tank with replaceable heads. My heads last 10+ weeks and cost $1.50 each...takes 10 secs to change them when needed. My flavors I bought in quantity from Europe with a bunch of friends. Just keep an eye out for sales. A year+ ago I bought 3 Kgo clone starter kits (1100 mah X 3.7 volts) for $20 each- regular $40. Just keep some powder dry for some deep discount deals IMO.
Cheers and the best of luck.

Welcome to the forum tigershark.
As far as making up a large supply for your mom it shouldn't be a problem if she stores it in a cool dark place. A cupboard a distance away from any heat sources is good and the juice should store well for months.
The batteries look pretty good and should give you quite abit of vaping between charges.
As to using clearos as Vapoor suggested I would agree that they would be a good choice. If you have good mechanical skills you could invest a few dollars in a vision vivi nova or a couple of kanger t3's or evods and for a couple dollars spent on wick and wire you can rebuild the clearos many times. In the modding section there are many tutorials on rebuilding clearos and most if not all the materials can be bought cheaply and locally.
Vaping does not have to be expensive as you have already found out.

Here is good link for this (I haven't tried it yet but I will be as I have some old vivi heads to try it on)

Machine screw coil wrap for Vivi Nova / Kanger T3 - YouTube

good job on doing it on the cheap (I am less than a month in, and have about $850 (equipment and DIY juice) invested so far - I really need to lock up the credit card)
