tried it tonight. didn't like it and switched it back. Not good enough aim with my pinky i guess.
I haven't done it. I don't think I would. A friend with a Poldi converted his to bottom button, and I didn't like the look at all.
I havent had any issues so far with either of my two Poldiac top caps and cheap Clearos.
I thought that Id share my experiences so far, just in case some people out there are hesitant to buy the Poldiac, because they think it wont work with their attachments.
As for the threading, I did receive some parts with a lot of corrosion on the threads, so they were semi-seized/rough. But, after cleaning them with alcohol swabs and applying a bit of Noalox afterwards, they became really smooth. One bottom cap became almost too smooth, if thats possible.
I do not, however, recommend using Noalox on the 510 threads, if youre using attachments that draw air from the 510 connection. I cant imagine that Noalox fumes would taste very good and its probably not the healthiest thing to do either.
If you want to lubricate the 510 threads, Id suggest using something like Vaseline. But not too much, since Vaseline isnt really conductive, so that could negatively impact the conductivity of the Poldiac. Personally, I dont lubricate the 510 threads; I just clean the 510 threads with rubbing alcohol and I havent had any issues so far.

I havent tried this, but Im thinking that it should be easier to push the button with your pinky, if you dont have the Shirt on the Poldiac.

Hey question...i have mnke imr batteries flat top...will these fit in poldiacs?
Just bought my first Poldiac yesterday. Looks like a Miriam from the photos in the classy ad. Comes with all tubes and an extra brass shirt and a few repair bits and bobbles. Really looking forward to getting it. Definitely the classiest looking side button mech out there IMO.
Been away from my Poldiac for a couple of days. I won a Hana Modz at a CaliVaper's meet! But my Poldi hits harder than the DNA20, so I'm back baby.
