I don't want to appear as a troll. I've been following this thread and the MMV thread for a long time. When I was mainly using Genny's - their DIDs where my favorite. I have 3 of them, a mini and a Temon. So I am a 'fan' of their products.

I wish they would settle this VAT tax thing. It's what's keeping me from ordering one of their Poldiac's. If there's a chance it may be dropped, I just keep waiting to see if 'next' month I can avoid paying it.

I want to see it fixed too. I'm sure it's just a matter of finding the correct form or method of filing the paperwork with the EU or Greek government (and I'm sure they don't make it simple or clear, just like filing crap with the US gov't). Every reason given so far for charging it is not true, which is a little frustrating. I just want to see the problem resolved... and maybe get a Nanos for stealth mode.... and some tubes for my Poldiacs... and maybe another Poldiac... and... :D The products are indeed fantastic. But I won't be making another purchase if I'm being charged VAT. They shouldn't be paying it either.

I wanted to get the alignment tool, and a couple other accessories myself, but decided to hold off till this is settled. :(

The button tool to put it back together? That's super handy. I think I have 2 of them. The way around it (which sorta works, kinda) is to put the button itself in with the magnets & use the sleeve to lock it. It'll get you pretty close to centered. It helps if you put the top post in to keep the button from rotating as well. The tool is much, much better & easier though.

To respond to all the recent questions regarding VAT and export, MMVapors has made the following statement:

In order to not pay VAT as a company in Greece to the Greek tax authorities, the company has to provide 3 documents to the Greek tax authorities proving that the products leave Europe. The first 2 documents are the invoice and the packing list. The last document however is a customs declaration form that can only be prepared (according to Greek law) by an official Greek customs office. This process costs us as a company 50 euro for every single package.

With the normal shipping of a package we try to keep the customer in mind and try not to declare the value of the contents to be over a certain amount (this varies per country, for the USA for instance this is 200 USD) because any shipment over a certain amount is automatically subject to inspection by the destination country’s customs resulting in customers having to pay extra in custom fees.
When sending a package as an export however, accompanied by the papers of the Greek customs office, we have no choice but to declare the complete value of the package. In other words the customer may end up having to pay even more in charges by their country’s customs office.

The Greek government however does not complain when we add (and pay them) VAT on our shipments even when they do leave Europe.

Because of this we as a company, saw this as the only way not to pay and charge for the expensive export costs since this is cheaper for the customer for any order that is below a certain value (roughly 250 euro depending on country).

Got a question for ya, Poldiac peeps. Just got a Belial edition v2 18650 in a trade, and it hits like a freight train, looks and feels pretty amazing. My only complaint is that I have to press that button pretty firmly (uncomfortably so) to get a solid fire. Is this adjustable in any way? Any tips on improving the button performance?

Congrats on getting your Poldiac.
I have two of them and they are great mods for sure.
There is no adjustment to the button. It just probably needs a good cleaning. The below link has the manual for the Poldiac and a video showing how to assemble the button head assembly.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Probably should have waited for a response. Fiddled with the screw under the button assembly, thinking maybe I could get a better contact, and promptly managed to collapse the battery spring. Had my first nice, non-clone mech for less than six hours and I managed to short the damned thing out! Off to shop for a replacement spring, I guess!

I'm wondering if it is normal for orders to MMV to sit for several days to be shipped. I placed an order on Sep 30 2014 - 06:32:51 and it is showing "Packed and ready to be shipped" since yesterday. Maybe they just don't update the status too frequently. Just wondering. Thanks.

Unfortunately we have had some illness in the company causing a delay in shipments going out. All orders have been shipped out thursday October 2nd though. For those that have chosen UPS you will be receiving an automated email from UPS in a few hours with your tracking number. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
