I thought I'd let you know I shot very poorly on Saturday. 40 out of 50. Not looking for sympathy but just wanted to say I don't always shoot to perfection. :) You have good days and you have bad days. I hear a lot of excuses why someone misses a target blaming it on the weather, or the gun, or the targets weren't set right, it's too hot or too cold, but I always say I only have one reason for missing a target, I wasn't pointed at the right spot!

It's a good plan Drott. Our beefed up coop security failed and we lost another duck this morning. The duck eater ripped off hardware cloth that was stapled on, so there's not much else I can do to keep them safe. Mr. V said I may NOT bring the lone surviving duck in the house. :( I told him we need to send the last of the flock to freezer camp and give up.

I rescued a 15 inch Red Ear turtle last Thursday. Today they dropped off her accessorizes. Wow 75 gallon aquarium,2 large canister filters, heaters, basking dock and I didn't look through the other box yet. What I've seen so far would estimate the price between 500-800. All free.To think I at first told them I did't want her stuff but had second thoughts so called them back. Figured it never hurts to have a spare tank. In my wildest dreams I never thought there was all this stuff. As my Grams would say a blind hog finds an acorn sometimes.

Good morning!

Wow Drott, that's a lot of stuff that they gave you. Your turtles will be super spoiled! :) How hard are they to take care of?

Our girls got a reprieve yesterday thanks to Victor. He ran into something outside and hurt his left eye. I couldn't find anything in it and flushed it out. An hour later he was still super miserable, which made me miserable, so we ran to the vet. He has a 1" scratch *ouch* and now has pain meds, antibiotics and eye drops. Never a dull moment with that boy. Never a spare penny in the checking account either. ugh.

I understand completely. Never a dull moment at the shack also.
Turtles are't that hard. To small of a tank and overfeeding is were most go wrong. No they don't need half the stuff you read on the internet. I have the 3 I raised from quarter size for 15 years now. All I give them is a tank, filter,2 lights and rocks to bask on.Oh and food. In the summer I put them outside with a filter that's it. The map and Southern,Western, Eastern and Midland all only get 5-7 in.

It was so humid and sticky I did't get the ducklings and chicken moved to the large coop run.
It's been the same here. Right now a storm just rolled in, so relief is on the way.

Internet guy was here today and changed my router. So far so good. *fingers crossed*
