Finishing setting up the brooder. First time getting shipped chicks. Mixed up some electrolytes incase some arrive alive.
What ticked me a little is when I ordered them choices was strait run or males. Today when I checked they had pullets listed also.
TSC was a disaster stock every were. Had to keep moving things out of the isles so I could get to were I needed to be. But success was mine.

I've had really good luck with shipped chicks. Out of over 350, I've lost less than a dozen. Don't forget to post pics.
Victor is now so spoiled it's stupid. ack. But his diaper was dry last night again, so hopefully it's just the steroids. My wash is almost caught up again, so I hope he stops being Lake Victor all together.
It's cool, dreary and damp today. I'm thinking of asking Mr. V to go on a road trip to Ikea. We now have one in WI and I need shades for the kitchen windows. I could order them, but then I couldn't have meatballs.

Brooders all set up heat, food and electrolytes in the water. Their in Harrisburg only 24 miles away. Next they'll be in Lancaster 12 miles away and will set there till tomorrow morning. Then to Mt .Joy. Were they'll let me pick them up. What a waste of time their going to be passing Mt, Joy on their way to Lancaster. Poor things will be spending an extra 18 hours or more sitting around. My first time ordering live chicks. This is harder on me than if I hatched them my self.
Call Harrisburg or Lancaster and ask to pick them up there. I've done that, they let me come to the back door before they opened. I was in slippers.

Although I currently have 2 Chihuahuas, I absolutely LOVED the Rotties I've had! And the black Lab I adopted in HI, she was awesome!
