They finally got the A/C working again at work!:banana::banana: It's been down since last week, which wasn't bad because the weather eased up.

Out of curiosity, how many homeowner's policies don't cover water damage from leaking pipes?? My friend Larry at work said they covered the plumber's fees, but he's "not covered" for the water damage! It leaked into his downstairs ceiling and part of the wall.

Wow! Last night, I stuck a few beers in the freezer for a quick chill, set the kitchen timer for one hour and fell asleep. Woke up about 4 hours later, they were frozen solid (cans), so I moved them to the fridge. They are STILL about 1/5 frozen!! So tonight I have REALLY cold beer, with a bit of beer slushie floating in the glass.

Good morning from soggy hutsville! We had some wicked thunderstorms last night. Branches are down all over, my pool floating chair is in the pond, and the driveway is completely washed out. The sun is out, so it will be a decent day to clean up the mess.

I guess I have to change my plan to stay home in the A/C tomorrow. A guy from the electric company just came by and told us that tomorrow they plan on replacing a pole across the street from us. He said he just wanted to give us notification that the power could be out for 4-6 hours between 8:00am to 3:00pm! WHAT!

Hopefully they start early and get done before it feels like 100 outside.

Maybe we will get lucky and they can do most of the work before d-energizing the system...

I love slushy beer.
It's really good! But hard as the devil to get out of the can!

Oh heck no Punkin~! Sounds like a perfect day for you and Mrs. Punkin to find a movie marathon at the theater! :)

Good luck to Mr Drott. That sounds like a nice job.

We got lucky today. The power transformer on the pole was on our side of the street and the pole that was replaced was on the other side. So, a couple of homes on the other side of the street lost their power for a couple of hours but they didn't have to shut ours off! :rickroll::banana:

Hoping Mr. Drott likes his new job and doesn't over-do it.

Punkin, I'm happy that you didn't have to go without power, but you and the Mrs. should still go somewhere fun today. :)

Lots of roads still closed around here due to trees down, power lines down and flooding. Mr. V's 10 hour shift turned into 15+ hours because of detours.

Victor and his stoopid eye go back to the vet this afternoon. arrrggghhhhhh
