Ooh my hot dog bun pan just arrived. Gotta wash it and try it out. Been wanting one for years. Found on with 20% off and free shipping. Still more than I wanted to pay but I got it anyway.
Let me know how you like it. I have one, the new England style. I've yet to make a level hot dog bun, but I keep trying. I think I'm not getting the dough in level, so they rise too much on one side. They taste good though, that's the part that counts.

Feeling lazy. Think I'll try this. Hope it will work in the food processer. Have no idea were the blender is. Know we have one but were?:lol:

Magic Crust Custard Pie
I used to make that!! From way back! The food processor should be fine! :)

The recipe I used was called "Impossible Pie", and I think it was on the Bisquick box at one time?

Let us know how it was.
A friend of ours went to NY over the weekend. He called last evening he was going in to the hospital to get checked out he couldn't breath. He has bad asthma and copd. He empty's the trash cans at the bus stops once a week. So we did it for him. We did have more trash than usual makes us wonder if he did it last week. I told hubby if he gives it up we should check into it. It pays well and its 8-9 hours a week depending on traffic. More driving than trash collecting. Soo didn't get anything done around the shack. Hopefully the rain will hold off tomorrow till evening.

Can't like a friend being ill. :(

The flavor is really good, but I think I should have baked it a bit longer as it didn't brown at all on the bottom. Once I chilled it, it firmed up nicely and I think we'll like it better. In the defense of the recipe I did use gigantic duck eggs. Darn, those little gals are laying even bigger eggs this year. Some are so big you can't close the carton.

So I made one of those pies. Good thing I bake pies on a cookie sheet. When you pour it out of the blender the butter pieces float to the top. Then the little pieces melt and run out over the pan. The custard didn't run over though. The pie look great coming out of the oven. Then fell flat while cooling. It did form a crust, was rubery or under cooked. Custard even after the fall was good. I'll not be making it again.:lol:

The welshies do get pretty loud. Last night one got locked out of the coop and she was pitching such a fit that I could hear her from inside the garage. Of course when I opened the door to let her in, the rest ran out. I spent an hour waiting for them to get done with their little party so that I could lock them in for the night.

Had to take the truck for tires earlier. *ouch* And there was some stupid code that they had to look at. Now it just needs a bath and I'm good to go for awhile. The mustang is still garaged.
