Yumm I love gyros.
They are one of our favorite foods over here, but we have to drive over an hour to the big city, find a parking spot a few blocks away, then walk to the shop that has them. There's no traffic allowed on that street of course. It's just not worth the trouble, so I figured I'd try to make them. *fingers crossed*

Good morning.
So Monday I had the car to the dealership. They put in a new battery. Wednesday afternoon I went out to go to TSC it wouldn't start. So I jumped it and took it back to the dealership. 2 hours later told everything's good. I just don't drive it enough to keep the battery charged. Only 500 miles since January. My problem with that is. I have a truck I drive 4x a year 30 miles a trip. It always starts right up.:lol: Must be this F in electronic stuff on the new vehicles that stay on all the time.  I charged up my Jump & go to keep in a car that's 2 years old.

I had a similar issue with our Subaru. We were tailgating and I had the back open for about 4 hours. The car wouldn't start. Got a jump and stopped by the dealer the next day and was told those little bulbs would kill the battery. Make sure you turn them to the off position if you have the back open for an extended period of time. Most cars will shut the interior lights off automatically after a period of time to prevent the battery from crapping out but not ours.

Ya, I don't use auto anything. And I don't understand why a car won't start with basically the trunk lights on for a while? I had a Hyundai when I lived in VA, spent a couple hours at a b'day party and stupidly left the headlights on, car started - no problem!

The mustang needs a new battery. Mine goes dead too, the dealer said it's the alarm system draining it when I don't use the car often enough. Gee thanks, nothing I can do to fix that except drive it more. Or pull the battery if it's going to be sitting for more than a week. ugh.

We had a break in at Coop Knox last night. Down one welshie girl and the drake is badly injured. I'll be sitting outside in a lawn chair with my headlamp and a gun tonight. Redneck night in hutsville.

I bought a battery tender for Mrs Punkin's car. She doesn't drive often and when she does drive, it is for only short distances. I just connect it in the evening and remove it in the morning, every few weeks. In your case you could just leave it connected all the time except when you want to take it for a spin. The tender is more advanced then a trickle charger and keeps the battery in tip top shape. The one I bought on Amazon is a CTEK MUS 4.3.

Good afternoon!
Thank you punkin, I'll have to show that to Mr. V as it would solve my problem.
Got a racoon last night, pretty big one at that. The drake is slightly improved today, but he's still not able to go out with the gals. He spent yesterday on my lap wrapped in a towel, last night I put him in a small show pen out in the coop so he could be with his girls. He was bit in the head and it looks like a tooth went in his ear. *ouch* He has no balance and spins in circles if he tries to walk. But today he is sitting upright and talking to me, so he's doing better. I'm feeling bad for naming him sh*thead.
