Thanks for the ideas on how to make bacon without the mess. I relayed the info but she ended up using a deep kettle with a lid and cut the strips in half to get more in. Turned out great, so yesterday we had English muffins, egg, cheese, and BACON sandwiches.

So far so good. Most of the runs are 100-150 miles one way. The best ones are when we have some coming back. Yesterday 7 of us were in the chase vehicle the whole way back. One guy talked constantly about himself the whole 2 hours. I was Soo glad to get back. 
I got an email yesterday on something I was working on last year. They wanted to know if I was still interested in pursuing it. I was under the impression that my time on it was expired. Maybe its a sign. I had failed the test by 1 question really bummed me out. Guess cause it was in my field of work. So thinking about it. Worse case scenario I fail again and get really bummed out. Hubby said go for it, you have a higher than average IQ so you shouldn't feel bad it just wasn't meant to be.
Just got off the phone with the department of education. The application ran out yesterday the same day they sent the email. So it wasn't a sign.

You need to get a pair of soft earplugs. They roll up and fit right in your ear. I use them for trap shooting and can't hear anyone talking while I am shooting.
Hubby grilling tonight he just doesn't know it yet. Sausage or ham slices. Leaning towards sausage. Easiest for me open a can of beans and sautéed peppers and onions.

Moved the turtles out to the big tank last evening. Still a little cold but has to be better than in the basement. My big Red Ear didn't make it. So will have a burial today.
