Good morning. Same here. Mr. V is working, so Victor and I will find something to do inside this afternoon. I have polite signs on the posts at the beginning of the driveway. For some reason people just drive on past the gate posts and the signs. I'm thinking this one once they get halfway up:
Today was a stay in the shack day. Made a no bake peanut butter pie and a no bake Nutella pie. Then got the idea to sew a pincushion. Found a pattern for a turtle one. Turned out bad. I named it skinny head. Embarrassed to show a picture, but here's Skinny head.
Looks easy enough. Skinny head. I have the one 60 x 70-80'' jelly roll quilt to finish the batting, back and binding. Bin looking on the internet for an easy way to do the batting and backing. Binding will be no problem. .
Back to sewing mask today. The group that makes them for the reservations have started getting request for children's mask. Their schools start in August. So I cut 53 and ironed the side hems. I get very crooked sides when I fold as I go.
I lay mine out on the living room floor after pushing furniture out of the way. First put down a sheet then the backing. Spray baste the batting on top the backing, then spray baste the quilt top on to the batting. I don't pin or baste, just do the spray stuff. Works every time.
