Cleaning out my closet. 35-40 shirts from when I worked. Since most are good to new I think I'll put them on Craig's list free. May be someone will want them. If not trash goes tomorrow.

its not still waiting. 6 large in tub. I change the water every day. 9 smaller ones in a 4' x 4' that should be changed everyday. but their in the basement, so it's not every day. Thinking hard of thinning them out in the late spring. Friend of hubby's has a nice pond on his farm.

Just got home. X-rays showed no tumors or anything like that. It did show vertebrae fusing, expected at his age. But the horrid part was the broken ribs that have never healed right. Three vets standing there with there arms crossed on their chests, asking: "you've owned him his entire life?" Yes, but I have never hurt my dog. 3 silent stares. OMG. I couldn't even think straight, didn't remember about how he used to be kenneled until on the way home. Just called and left a message for one of them to call me back.

So sad someone could do that. So problems not solved. If its seizers or something else neuroglial.
Just talked to Nancy at the clinic and explained about the kennel. She is as horrified as we are that someone could do that to such a sweet dog. She also said that they were positive that I couldn't have done it, just that someone kicked him really hard years back. Jake probably had injuries we had no idea of either.
We're still not sure on the seizures. He has multiple birth defects inside, including a half sized liver. She said that the tiny liver can't possibly clear all toxins so that may have caused all of this. Or that the stroke did damage, causing the seizures. His eyes don't respond properly to light. Since we put him on the meds he hasn't had one. But he's kind of dopey and tired. Tonight he gets a smaller dose. We also need to lower the protein level in his food and keep putting a topper of moist food on it. I'm exhausted.

So Gertie is in the process of learning a muzzle. Were on style # 4. With a few treats she lets me put it on her, big steep forward. She for no reason has started to attack Marcie. I watch her like a hulk and can usually tell when it's going to happen. Been putting her in the crate when we go away but she seems worse after we get home. Don't know if she would get the urge while were away or not. She'll go days no problem then all he ll breaks loose. So were going with a muzzle for when we cant watch her. This saddens me but not as much as getting rid of her and maybe her getting abused or worse.
Rotten little Gertie, doesn't she know she's lucky to have a sister? I wonder what is making her do that, and shame on her. I'd try the muzzle too, hopefully she gets the clue that her behavior is completely unacceptable. ack. Does she have enough stuff to do to keep her tired out? We had to keep Victor tired for his first 8 or so months or he was obnoxious. Mr. V threw the tennis ball until his arm was falling off every day. Darn fuzzy kids, almost as bad as the human kind. Almost.
