Drott, don't freak out. You sent her because she was totally out of bounds and biting. The trainer probably pushed her outside her comfort zone and she reacted badly. She reacted badly at home too so I wouldn't blame the trainer. It's Gertie being Gertie.

Some dogs are just that darn difficult, and I blame breeders. A good breeder should always spay/neuter and adopt out any dog that their pups are not calm/submissive. The boxer gal we got ours from did that when she received feedback that pups from certain dogs were aggressive. Most breeders just don't care and we end up with problem pups.

Check into the cbd, but also look at flower essences. I'm surprised that she mentioned this so soon, she knew what she was getting into.

I sent her an apology. Her response has me considering cbd. I'm sure she knows what she's doing, or she wouldn't have been with Cold creek as long as she has.

Hi Deb, we are both hard at work. She is now hopping into the car on her own instead of trying to crawl under it ;) She is making progress, slowly. I do want you to be aware of how significant her anxiety is- I have worked with hundreds of dogs with aggression and anxiety. She is on the more extreme scale of things. I only want what is best for her, and for your expectations of this training program. I respect any decision you make, you are her owner and I know you love her to pieces! When she goes home, if she still needs work, we have follow up lessons as well.

Hi Deb, She is a sweetheart. She comes up to me and asks for pets, belly rubs, and paws at me too. Before now, she’s had minimal exposure to the outside world, and that must be so scary for her! I know her time here for training will yield lots of progress and positive change for her. But I am always striving for the dogs to be as healthy- both physically and mentally- when they go home. I do love them all like they are my own. I find her fear and anxiety to really tug at my heartstrings.

Can't like that. Mr. V finally got home, quiet time begins. blech. I'm so happy that it's Friday, he'll have to nap tomorrow, but then we get a day to finish the second coat on the shop floor. I'll be glad when it's finally done back there.
