Most protected 10440s are only rated for around 360mAh. I don't think any of them break the 400mAh mark. Anything you see rated for 600mAh is either not protected or inaccurately labeled (possibly both).

I ordered a Precise last night. What would be your suggestion for the best possible protected 10440. Blazin a 510 now and patiently waiting for David's big battery mod..Anyway who makes the best 10440 available??? I need to stock up...:D

TrustFire makes the highest mah for a 10440 I've seen.

Man I'm gonna heat that atty up when it gets here. Read about fitment issues on some 10440s. Just want to be good and ready when it gets here.....:D

Enjoy. Was looking for a stylish upgrade for my Tornado
(which is already stylish with the Super-T tip)
but the low batt life on the 10440 is holding me back.

But yeah, 'The Precise' is the sharpest looking 3.7 v device
I've yet seen..

Power density for Li-ION is what it is. That's why any battery that claims to hold significantly more charge than normal is probably lying. Until someone invents a more efficient formulation, you're just not going to get much more power out of something as small as a 10440. Every year two or three labs claim some miracle breakthrough that will "double the capacity" of batteries, but they never pan out. If anybody ever does figure it out they'll end up very rich. :D

Maybe I'm wrong, but it "looks" like the batt might not like being connected to a load like a PV. The specs say that it has an over-current protection circuit that shuts it down at 0.5A (500mA). Most, if not all, atomizers draw over 1A (1000mA) - typically 1.1 to 1.5A - on a freshly charged battery and with a Kanger and its higher loaded voltage it would draw around 1.5A (1500mA), which is 3 times the over current protection rating of this battery.

I'm assuming "OCP" means what it typically means. ie: that the battery is turned off if it sees a load greater than 500mA. As I think of it, maybe they use a lower current load value (half of 1000mA? hmmm) when they calculate/specify the capacity of the batt in mAh than other makers of the same size batt and that's why their spec is twice as long/high as most others? ....or maybe not?
