The ones that have bricked have been linked to a bad batch of capacitors that a vendor shipped to Provape early on.

I do remember reading that, and I will keep monitoring the thread, maybe I will change my mind, but I have 12 - 2.5 Provari's all the metallic finishes (none painted), I have 4 REO Woodvils, 4 REO 14500 Mini's and 2 REO Grands. (I love the REO's by the way) I still want more REO's, like a few more Grands, the other REO Mini's, and the up coming P-67. Until today I only had 2 Billet boxes, just got this today, I am going to try to order one more every month, for the next several months. :)

Those Billet Boxes are intriguing, I have been curious about them for quite a while now, but with 21 ProVari's, 10 REOs and a couple other mods, I just can't ever seem to pull the trigger on one when they come up. What I have really been interested in is getting or making a box mod with a ProVari board in it, a V2.5 board, even watched a video on the build about half a dozen times. Maybe my time would be better spent just laying one out on paper and going for it.

Here's a good story. I had a package show delivered today, yet there was no package in my mailbox. There is a house on an adjacent street with the same number as ours...and, you guessed it, the envelope was left there. The people who got it drove it over and gave it to me
just now! :) There are some good folks out there, this really made me feel good.

The billet box, with a billet bridge, uses Aspire BVC coils, it is a fantastic vape (to me anyway) I also ordered a Sophia V2 that I want to try in the BB, but not sure if it will work better than the V1, until I get it, nobody has tried it yet. I always thought that a provari 2.5 board in a bottom feeder box mod would be awesome, but I would never take a board out of one of my 12. If I ever was going to try to make a mod, that is what it would be though. :)

Hopefully I can ask you folks a question...

So...I have been vaping for awhile now, but I have definitely been a low-tech type vaper, nothing but tanks and coils (and cartos, of course, wow what a pain those were), I have never built/rebuilt anything and don't want to start. Right now I am vaping exclusively on Provaris/Kabukis...out of all of the millions of tanks I have tried from the old viva nova to the kanger subtank I like this combo the best.

Anyhoo, I have a lot of juices gathering dust that I need to at least try, but don't want to waste a $4 nautilus coil if I don't like the juice. Is there a cheap, simple (I can't do coil builds) way to sample juices? Vaporbeast had a $1.77 sale on the aspire viva nova, but I missed out.

Oh, and must work on a 2.5...odd how I had one of these 3 years ago and am now falling in love with it again (should have never sold it). Something about the $25 50-watt chinabox mod + subtank combo just no longer sits well with me and now I'm going wayyyy back to 4.2v vaping on an old-style mod. I guess I'm a hipster vaper now

Oh, and now I am fighting the urge to get a Glovari 2.5 for the nightstand. I really need another 10% Provape sale.

Others may come along with more or even better options, but these atomizers will allow you to drip and sample your different flavors:

510 Atomizer (Standard Resistance)

510 Atomizer (Bridgeless)

I use one of those bridgeless as well for juice testing. Also, I like The Spiral Dripper byLeo. I use ReadyxWick in it so all I need to do is rinse it, dry burn it and its ready for another flavor. The wick and coil last forever but would require you to build it though.

Well, I found a nifty blog entry by Ocelot:

Error | E-Cigarette Forum

I guess since I am unwilling to try to learn how to build, this is the way to go, even if I am terrified of dry hits.

So I guess the last question I have, is should I get sealed atomizers like this so I don't get juice in my provari?

KP Long Barrel Sealed Atomizer

If there is a different atomizer I should consider, feel free to let me know!

Well it appears that occy is ignoring my tag thingy, sorry I never used those, I bought one of the pricey drippers a long time ago, the Dripper pro from By Leo, I still use it some times.

I never seen the sealed ones before :?: Yea I guess they would be better.
There is no cotton or wicking material like cotton in any of them. It's more like a metal mesh.
Them dry hits that bring tears to a person's eyes, is normally from the wicking like cotton.
Mesh don't seem to give them nasty dry hits. It's like dripping right on a coil with out a wick. :)

Them Atoms are one maybe two hits as they only hold a few drops at a time since they don't have a wicking material.
Which makes them nice to test juices, because since there is no wicking like cotton, they can be rinsed out in a sink, so you can change juices easier :)

The top one shows a good picture of what I am talking about :?:

See how it's a metal mesh and not a cotton or other burnable material :)

With your V2 and V2.5 ProVari's, there is no need to be concerned about juice leaking past the atomizer and into the catch cup where the center pin is, these mods were born of this, designed for it actually, from the days of cartomizers before tanks were widespread. This is one of the main reasons why I count on the ProVari for longevity. The center pin is fixed, and sealed to guard against leakage past it. With cartomizers, the juice could leak down, and be sucked back up into the carto and vaped. All part of the design, and function of the ProVari from the very beginning. When you go back to a different atomizer, simply roll up a small bit of paper towel, or some loosely wadded cotton, and twirl it around inside the catch cup to wick up any remaining e-liquid. A bit of cotton wet with a little isopropyl alcohol will help further clean up any remnants.

There is a baby wick in the 510 attys...the pic on the right shows it best

l2%20510%20atomizer.jpg

and a very old thread in the Modding Forum for rebuilding them :
Rebuilding your 510 Atomizer Step by Step - 801 & 901's too!
There's a wick in there :?:
I have had around 5 of these for 2 years and use them to taste juice. I would run them under tap water to clean them out.
I always thought it was just a metal mesh in there because I would never get a dry or burnt hit
